The game is not going to come out on consoles until 2013 possibly late summer or early fall. You have plenty of time for P4A. Hell, you have time to play the freaking Persona RPG’s until the new BB comes out on consoles.

Anyway glad i didn’t follow the Extend Scam (although its pretty much guaranteed they will probably do "Chrono Phantasma II or another Extend for this game) but at least the game looks different now to an extend and is last chapter of BB series. Only noticed Noel and Tsubaki looking drastically different at first glance (Noel does looks better with the long hair and no beret though)
BB series is still my least arc sys favorite (mostly because i can’t stand the aesthetics and characters) compared to GG and P4U, but glad this 3rd game is taking more elements from those games like there burst for example.

I remember you arguing in that Dustloop thread about Evo 2010 against putting BB:CT in Evo along with some other Dustloop regulars with the rationale “If it’s not CS then we don’t want anything” while ignoring basically everyone in the scene who wasn’t in your immediate vicinity or didn’t have access to CS at the time. (read: most of the scene at the time) And now you’re moaning over BB not being at Evo, as if you didn’t directly affect that yourself. iirc PhaethonH was only person who actually made a well thought out response to the situation, even practically predicting that BB wouldn’t have a chance to be main game again for a few years.You have no one to blame for the current state of BB at Evo but you and your ilk. I can only hope that P4A can fix everything.

Combined with the fact this game is getting location tests before AC+R is done with them or P4U is out anywhere but Japan about sums up my feelings of WHY. I always wondered why the movers and pushers for BlazBlue decided not to play CT at EVO. Seemed like a real mistake to pass on that chance just because Continuum shift was announced. Any series starting out needs to grab that chance and use the notoriety of EVO placement to bolster the community early on. It’s like this… MK9 wouldn’t have been nearly as long lived/popular a title if it only made it to EVO this year. Getting in on that action early gave prospective players and active players a real sense of security about the game’s future. This is why I’ve been personally against the melty blood approach that people have been taking towards Skullgirls as of late. If a game comes out too late for the current EVO then the community and developers need to mobilize themselves for next year, not for an EVO appearance in two or three years when no one cares anymore.

I fail to see the logic for example of BB3 killing any P4U hype for example and vice versa since the the anime fighter enthusiast player-base for the most part will end up playing both.
Awful post from someone who doesn’t understand the scene at all. Again, would it have been better to have a tournament with 40 people in it or give the spot to MvC2, which would have had many, many more entrants by comparison. Yeah, fuck me and the community for wanting something that was best for the FGC as a whole. The answer was obvious. BBCS2 was featured at Evo in 2011 but removed from the roster for the disaster that was SFxT. I don’t know. It sounds more like you’re on the outside of the community looking in, rather than actually being a part of it.

Why would the numbers be so tiny for CT? Was it really that unbalanced? I’ve played lots of fighters before(even at arcades) BlazBlue, but it was this and Mahvel 3 that really got me into the streaming and watching of tournaments. I’d love to hear more about what happened with BB early on that kept it from blowing up like KOF or Skullgirls in the states.
i really wish they would play there trump card with jubei and kokonoe and tarakaka, that iteration i feel would finally solidify the wandering BB audience , like posted above kokonoe did say in story mode that she was the playable trump card for arc and im not seeing her here , makes me assume they already plan another disk after introducing these new chars which i welcome
in my memory Rachel/Nu (and the other balance problems) were a big part of the problem too, people were worried that it’d get on the big screen and end up looking totally broken and imbalanced, which could keep people from getting into CS (yes I see the irony with MvC2).
It definitely happens though, Kohaku mirrors at evo weren’t great for the melty scene either, from what I can tell.
Most of the community was already tired of losing to Nu, Arakune, and Rachel and had moved on to CS1/were prepared for CS1 (which ironically wasn’t that much more balanced in terms of tiers). It was an unfortunate reality of the situation. The numbers would have been worse with CT than CS1, so it made sense to let MvC2 have the spot for one last hurrah.
People keep forgeting that “CS2” was a FREE update for the consoles versions of console Continuum Shift BEFORE capcom has done AE2012…
I’m also one that can play multiple fighters. I am not great in some of them, but still enjoy playing many different games.
The Only Rose parts i see are the ribbon controlling. Can’t say he is a rose knock off just by that.

I did play online in this game for awhile, but since everyone left the first BB2 for extend, you can’t find many people still playing it. I refuse to buy Extend.
I would love to see a playable version of each. Maybe they will be unlockable, or hidden until later? Got to save some surprises. Also, the name is Torakaka

Doesn’t it bother anyone into the game currently that there are so many people going: ‘Glad I didn’t get into X version’ now I can play this one instead?
I mean to be honest I foresee another version coming after this (there is no way they’re going to get any of those three new characters right), and that just puts me off. From the looks of it the last ‘version’ was one character and balance changes. Sounds a bit much.
We can only hope, but that does not seem to be arcs game plan with this series so far, i hope so but i dread a Extened version of this to if there not announced and ill probably wait for the final iteration,

CS side tourney had 40 entrants at evo 2010, he’s just speculating CT would have had the exact same amount if it had been a main game.
