Yeah, I thought them not including CPX last year after 2014 was kind of bullshit (and still don’t buy the ‘official reason’ for it. While yeah, EVO’s probably going to have a couple of arcade cabinets to try out BBCF, I think we’re going to have a bigger chance of seeing it there next year. It’s kind of unfortunate because while I like Xrd, I like BB more and don’t want my Noel getting all rusty, lol.
But who knows, we’ll have to wait and see. Remember, even after the EVO games lineup announcement, it’s still far from a final lineup. I mean Ultimax got added after because of the Japanese players saying they’d come down for it, I believe Tekken 7 got added after, Injustice’s first EVO was post-lineup announcement, etc. So, a game being added to the lineup after it’s been announced is far from a new thing.
Noel’s Exceed Accel is goofy, but it’s definitely not one of the more boring/dumb ones (though it’s kinda silly how much running and sliding happens for a move that barely adjusts position on the stage.) Ragna’s is pretty darn bland, Carl’s is just dumb, Hazama’s is booooring as is Naoto’s, and Mu’s just kinda makes me go ‘huh’? I guess you can’t win 'em all.
Nice. Though, I do wish we got a release date and news on whether there’ll be PS3/PS4 crossplay since from what I’ve seen so far, I haven’t heard anything.
Selling games? Remember: This game’s primary audience is in Japan. There are many, many more PS3s in the Japan than there are PS4s. And there are zero technical reasons that this game would benefit from being on the PS4.
The actual question is “Is there an advantage to releasing Blazblue games on PS4 for ASW?” because let’s face it, most people who like this series have PS3s.
