Anyway, for those of you who don’t feel like paying the 50 bucks to get a con badge, look into volunteering, for four hours of easy work(two shifts iirc) you get a day pass, and if you are lucky enough to sign up for the game room guard, then well you can prob’ly take a look before everyone else.

I go to AX pretty much so every year for the fighting game comp (Halo comp as well when the have it) and I NEVER (not since 2002) purchase a badge…I usually just sneak in. But anyways, you only need a badge for the events like cosplay shows and other shit such as the exhibition hall, I don’t ever recall you needing one to go into the console gaming rooms or the arcade room. So if that’s what’s holding you back then don’t let it.

Work got in the way again and I work all the days AX is in, I work 6am-2:30pm on Thursday, but that means I will only have an hour to spend at the Console Gaming Room, probably not even have a chance to play it, not to mention it will take me 1 hour and 20 mins to get there!
Now I have another reason why I hate AX being in LA!
Wtf…it takes you 80 minutes to drive from Corona to LA?..Unless you work in Riverside or some shit…
Also, I don’t think the console gaming room closes that early.
Believe it or not, yes it does take that long because of random traffic that pops up at the worst times both freeway and especially the LA streets, that and I work at the end of Corona at the 15fwy going towards Lake Elsinore.
Not to mention the time trying to find parking and going in line trying to find the Registration to get the badge to get in and trying to find the Console Game room because the Staff there are useless at giving any information, I’ve been to AX for so many years and they still suck and rude as fuck (typical Otakus)!
I went to the LA Convention Center before for E3 and its a nightmare getting in and out!
Thats why it was so much easier before in Anaheim!
I’m going to try to get the Sup to let me have Sunday off so I can have no worries about time.
Damn this news kinda makes me wanna go ahead and go to AX. Didn’t plan on it before but maybe I will go.
I hope this means that Battle Fantasia will get a US release as well.

Getting in for free doesn’t outweigh the hellish traffic nightmare of the I-15 North to California…
