I hate those notations :\ why not just have 1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D?

6A, 5C, 5D
5A, 5B, 5D
2A, 2B, 623C

converts to:

F+1, 3, 4
1, 2, 4
D+1, D+2, bdp(backwards dragon punch)+3?

or something. Yeah I tried doing it with tekken background notations and it looks like it’s going to be a mess. I freaking tried and I learned these notations via melty blood. Tekken notations>this

on a side note, russel when are you going to get a PS3?

DJkun: When I am in need of a coaster to put my hot or cold drinks, i think i may buy one. For now, i like the $200 system from Microsoft rather than $500 from Sony. Where there is no such thing as exclusive games anymore.

Just learn the notation, it makes you more verse that way.

Thanks for the advice, but I’ve been playing Tager for about a month or two now at Lovegety, so I know him reasonably well. I’ve only played a few good players so far, I guess I’ve been lucky (or unlucky, however you want to see it).

This is Truth.

Did you fuckers get a midnight release or something? Cause blockbuster is saying BB won’t be on shelves till tomorrow.

Well the majority of people who didn’t pre-ordered are probably paying a burnt copy on the 360. I pre-ordered my copy back in April from ebgames.com and it came in yesterday at 10am. I seriously thought I would get stiffed and would’ve had to wait until tomorrow. It shows that the origin of the shipment came from NJ so I would assume all orders from the ebgames website are shipped directly from the sates. This would probably explain why I got my copy on time, and on the release date. There was an $8 brokerage fee from UPS when they delivered, but I payed it gladly. I’m going to do the same thing with Tekken 6 and hope the history repeats itself.

I’m hearing that the netcode for PS3 is sucky compared to 360.
Also, you cannot install the game in your HDD in PS3. They are releasing a patch to fix that.
Longer load times for PS3 until then I presume.

You can install the game in 360, probably why online experience is better from what I heard.
Don’t know why they didn’t activate that for PS3.

so what’s a good beginner type character for someone that just started BB? I was playing with rachel today and holy crap its complicated to shoot out all those things and explode them, ect. it feels like micromanagement.

The complexity and originality of characters solely depends on their D (Drive) button.
While I can tell you who is the most easiest to use, every character is different.

They maybe easy to use but each of them can be dangerous depending on how broad you want to go through them.

Two easy characters to use are:
Ragna - Uppercut, wall containment, guard break extraordinaire
Jin - freeze opponent for maximum damage. Pretty easy to use IMO.

Just because I say easy does not mean they are not complicated as well. They are easy to pick up.

The rest require a bit of work and study to win:
Arakune - traps and containment

bang - technical, you get 12 needles to use for poison, web, or just throw.

carl - He’s good on his own but better if you control Nirvana properly. Sandwhich combos are dangerous. carl + you + nirvana = ownage if you opponent does not know to get out.

hakumen - You cannot do moves unless you have meter. His meter accumulates in time. really slow but damage he inflicts makes up for it i guess.

tager - Imagine the opponent covered in metal. Now imagine Zangief with a magnet on his hand. Pretty strong but pretty slow. All about proper use of D button (Magnetize)

litchi - Same thing as carl but faster. Control the stick.

Noel - fast like hell. D button is a series of different attacks. Imagine MvC2 Hayato’s b.lp series. She’s fast.

Rachel - traps and technical but fun to use. Top Tier when used right. Yes, you do have to micromanage.

Taokaka - annoying 2a’s, really fast. Low damage at times. Easy to pick up. Annoying voice at times. Start button combos with her. If you want the challenge.

v-13 - short and long range. Sometimes D button does all the work.

The kof notations are needed because the motions aren’t simple like SF

markville represent. hope they have it when they open tomorrow morning or else i’ll have to get it on saturday. if they give it away in that time i’ll be super duper pissed.

When does eb games usually get their items ? Im planning on going to my eb where I pre ordered my game when it opens. At 10:00 AM. Hopefully my game would be there or almost there.

Some people are saying we don’t get it till friday due to delayed shipping on Canada day. Someone please tell me this is BS…:bluu:

Posted in chat today: http://ggxlol.highervoltage.net/ara-flowchart.gif

I work at a Gamestop, and we get our shipments around noon or 1pm.
It will NOT be there at store open. Purolator doesn’t come until noon’ish, and there were no shipments on the holiday.

It MAY be delayed to Friday, but it should be there tomorrow.

We find out what we’re getting the day of, so give your local store a call in the morning and see if they can check if it’s coming in or not.

My view on characters and how easy it is to use them FOR BEGINNERS

Ragna/Jin - these are your shotos

Noel - if you don’t try to go for the really complicated combos, shes pretty easy to use. D button is confusing as hell for beginners

Haku/Tager - Big damage, easy combos, good priority moves.

Bang - Short/easy combos, high/low/command throw game

Litchi - Combos at beginner level do decent damage compared to others, and she has an awesome

V-13 - Zones, anti airs, u won’t do big dmg, but they won’t even dmg u.

Rachel - Good anti air, good zoning, good damage, good everything.

Taokaka - Fast, good priority, low damage

Arakune - If you land a curse, u’ve won half the game, but controlling this guy is hard and akward if you’re not used to it.

Carl - good luck trying to win if you don’t know how to control nirvana well. Carl alone is useless.

Thats for Beginner levels. At a higher level of play, i’d rate things completely different.

Who plays like Chipp and who plays like Ky?

Pui, I’m a high level player, make me a new list.

Justin: Bang plays like Chipp and Jin plays like Ky.

So did anybody get this game yet?
Any sightings of place that carry it for me to trek to after work.
Want to play online badly.

NeoRussell

Jin plays like Ky in a way, Ragna is like Chipp with more health. :bgrin:

BTW Gfaqs says the game comes out on the 3rd in Canada but some say the second, I’ll probably call my EB late afternoon.

EDIT: WOW 4 replies before I even post a response.
