In Blazblue you have 4 attack buttons and taunt. I actually prefer to play it with an SNK layout, so take that as you will. My sticks lately have been arranged in the Vewlix layout.
Whatever setup you’d use for a SF4 6 button setup would be best really, if you are building a stick. If it HAS to be specific and faithful to the arcade, the layout markman said, and add a taunt button somewhere on the stick.
This confuses me. On the pc version of blazblue calamity trigger i have, w, e, a, s, d, f, z, x, c, v all with different effects (stock!). I really dont get that.
As a blazblue player I’ll tell you this; just make a stick laid out for a street fighter setup, ala 6 buttons mapped to the default SF controls. Use what ever layout you want, though BB uses Vewlix in the arcades and fightsticks.
That way it’ll be easier for yourself and everyone else when you play. You can map buttons on the char select screen so just use a standard button mapping.
I concur. Unless someone is going to really specialize it makes little sense these days to have a fightstick with a layout that is exclusive to a single game. IMO 6 buttons arranged as comfortably as possible is probably the best idea.
I forgot to add in I too am a BB player lol. Listen to FunkyP and just make a sf layout with 6-8 buttons. (8 buttons are a sacrilege but thats what my first FS is).
