I’d have to agree, that guy made gamerbee look free. His Blanka is absolutely sick.
Really wished if he will travel with Daigo for a few tournies here in North America…definitely the best blanka in the world right now…
Ok guys relax. Saying he’s the best just because he has great videos i dunno i think you’re jumping to conclusions. Obviously he is a very strong player, but there are tons of guys out there that we don’t know about in japan that could be just as good or better.
But the problem with that argument is that you could then say that about ANY player. “Daigo is pretty good but there could be guys in Japan without videos who could crush him.” It’s dismissing someone’s accomplishment by saying “Oh, anyone could do THAT!” The point is, he DID.
Until I see some more vids from other Blankas (as I noted, I haven’t seen any new Mizoteru vids as of late; care to point me to some?) beating people the caliber of fricking Gamerbee, then yes, I’m calling T SRAI the best Blanka in the world at the moment.
Well yes you have validity to that statement but i will counterargue!
Daigo is good, because daigo gets to top 3 in gods garden, top 2 in sbo, wins touranments in Japan AND in usa… So we know of his strength. So no i can’t say that about any player lol. We can validate he IS the best Ryu. This cannot be said of SRAI. Our perception of who is the best and who isn’t in the usa is very skewed. By your logic I am one of the best blankas in the usa because i have beaten a lot of top players we have here… But if youtube videos are the only evidence to go by… then i’m better then Hiro. but i know i’m not. Anyway lol.
Looking at the tournament Top 8, I cant remember the last time a Blanka specialist actually made it there. So seeing T SRAI win handily against someone who won Season’s Beatings (if my memory serves me correctly) and beat the best players is definitely an achievement.
Not saying that his win automatically makes SRAI better than everyone Gamerbee beat, but as any Blanka specialist knows by now, playing Blanka against high level competition is HARD, and one has to really, really work for every win.
Anyway, my original point stands; I would love to see more Blanka vids of other players against some top tier competition. There is a definite dearth of them online.

imo Blanka as a character is dead too. no Blankas are really stepping it up at tourneys or doing anything impressive. just the same gimmicks that don’t work anymore. lol
Seems to me your whole strategy relies around hop sweep or hop grab.

i would suggest safejumps vs chun li and into strings instead of hop on her wakeup. Also vs FA you gotta backdash those and c.HP them. Take your time. Rushdown is viable vs chun but keep things safe and keep the hop/mixup to a min because of his insane jab. Your play in the 3rd round is probably more optimal. It’s really hard to put pressure on someone like chun who has such high priority normals that are super fast. Also doesn’t hurt that EX bird is a solid reversal if you’re over pressuring her.
