I have a lot of trouble with turtling strategies as well; someone turtles too much I can’t find a way around it. Nothing can safely chip away damage with Blanka I guess.

Sabin recorded some matches of Chari (GM blanka player) vs a GM balrog and GM rufus. Chari works that balrog… it’s pretty impressive. I’m watching over trying to figure out why. Good stuff.
Bad execution on Rog’s part. Headbutt combos are hard to land on Blanka due to some weird hit box thing. If it’s very close, lp lp lp lk into headbutt lands, but not otherwise. The only real surefire way to land it is in round 3 with jabs into headbutt. Also, with the life lead that Rog had in round 3 (first match), he should have turtled and not go for the non-hit confirmed headbutt that led to the ultra punish. If he turtled, Blanka’s ways to get in are reduced significantly. By being overzealous with his missed execution, he allowed the comeback.
The whole Blanka is free against Rog argument is seen perfectly in round 2 of that game. As well as round 2 of game 2.
What’s really impressive is the part 2 against Rufus where Chari played a very solid game against a great Rufus.

i think its crazy that japan uses that 50/50 so much. It hasso much risk and so much reward. like mizoteru is so conservative the whole match then he pulls a 50/50. i dont know. maybe it is just me lol
Tbh, 600 free dmg is too rewarding!! Its interesting 'cause there are two types of Blanka players in that 10 vs 10. Boy was a very solid blanka that would take minimal risks. Then there was fax who once got in a throw is doing the ultra. It just depends on your style of your play.
