Kind of interesting. Seems like some of his stuff is just trying to exploit dumb moves on the other guys part (cowards crouch, strange ultras). I’d be more curious to see how he handles people who can punish blanka balls, or even a projectile character.

Me in a player match on Xbox live, testing out my new HD recording setup.
I was a bit surprised to land the same combo twice in a row in the first round, but in previous matches I kept crossing him up so I think he was over-anticipating that. Nice perfect second round with a combo into super for finish, something I rarely do for lack of full meter.
It seemed like the coward crouch was throwing off alot of his cross ups
I talked to Valle before I played that online match, and he told me that I could pretty much ball Gen for free without super or ultra. Thats why I’m going apeshit with it in the video. Go type SHGLBMX into youtube and see what you find. It’s all old stuff so don’t take it for granted, and nothing new of me is uploaded, but I’m pretty decent now, I think.

lag tactics, oh god.
For all the fireballs I’ve taken to the face because lag wont’ let me slide underneath them fast enough…don’t worry about taking advantage of lag for this small small thing.

I was surprised he didn’t punish you after a blocked ball throughout the match when he has ultra and shglbmx keep doing it too lol…maybe he didn’t see Gen has ultra
ahh nice, a recent vid of a top level blanka playing a good sagat. you can see the sagat player failing to upper cut and kara uppercut after fireballs in round one but quickly adjusts in round 2 and blanka can’t do much but hope to random ball for damage and die.
believe me, i saw it. the game was laggy so i knew he wouldnt be able to time a reversal ultra often.

I generally do pretty well but still have a difficult time against Boxer and Dictator (and of course Sagat), as you can see from the videos. I think the biggest thing missing from my game is walking elec loop pressure (I can piano lp electricity but not lp>hp electricity very reliably without getting EX) and a good intuition for pressuring with focus attacks…

What I can say is maybe more footsie and combos.
Against gief you have made a wonderfull start, taking 75% of his life away, why do you continue on attacking like crazy ? You know he wants to pull out his ultra to win, so stay away, zone him and be patient ! When he jumps at you, vertical ball, c.HP or c.MP to repel him and if he tries to come with green hand, vertical jump or back dash/hop.
I know its kind of turtling, but this is the match up I think

you are not bad with blanka, that ryu was a scrub, funny that u both ate a ultra in 1 st round and I have no idea why that ryu player did a random super out of nowhere.
I really like the use of crouch against Gen. I learned a bit about this matchup from the vids.
