Blanka ULTRA SSF4 Changes

Josh yeah I think Blanka is even more focus reliant now, but at least it puts him in a much better situation on block.

Anyways as mentioned before the example I gave got nothing to do with reaction or not. This conversation about ex rainbow been stretched out way too long so I’m gonna stop it here.

Here’s some ideas I’ve been thinking about. Since I haven’t played the game they are only ideas

On block and on hit how is c.mk xx lp ball gonna be like ?

At tip range will lp ball whiff?
Is c.mk block stun increase gonna make it a true block string? At what range? Will mp ball make a difference if lp ball doesn’t work?
New safe ball setups?

If cancel into up ball will it whiff at tip range?
Can I ex cancel up ball after c.mk?

At tip range if c.mk has better block stun what type of footsie tools can I use?
What moves will be beating tip c.mk (blocked) into c.hp? C.hk? S.hp? What if not done at tip?

Can something like c.mk blocked c hp or other options be used as a corner push?

How does c.mk blocked into shimmy work out now?

Finally the last idea I have now is.
On CH
At what range will c.hk won’t work?
Will linked hp/ex ball connect (6 frames)

I’m sure there’s a few more ideas I wanna play with when I actually have the game.

If you have access to the PC Ultra mod just play that, as far as I know its accurate and you can test all of it yourself.

You can still get it to work from point blank to close but after that c.MK links are no longer reliable.

Does anyone know if ex upball facd will combo into ultra 2…? Or electricity…? Or anything…?

Sounds like a long shot, but i thought upball would combo into ultra 2 if it trades during and anti air, so maybe there is hope…

Since EX upball knocks down, I don’t think there’s time dash forward and charge U2 before the opponent hits the ground, as a matter of fact I don’t even know if you can juggle anything after the KD

You can use regular upballxxRF and AA U2, I think

yeah it’s funny now, if we had old ex upball it’d probably be better than the knockdown version with the inclusion of fadc and RFC.

Im trying to get back into the game and have been grinding out matches…

Cr mk pushback sounds bad but i didn’t use it much in matchs, far roundhouse and short short roundhouse or short Jab electricity might have to fill the gap…

nah I’m xbl mostly and sometimes pc.

cr.mk is definitely worse now which sucks as it was the most requested move to buff

Making ES a tournament standard would invalidate pretty much all the work done in rebalancing USFIV, also it’s worth mentioning that AE2012 is one of the most balanced SFs to date and if USFIV follows that, it would be a shame to lose that by including some pretty scary characters like Vanilla Sagat and AE Yun, to name a few

Anybody else catch a look at Rolentos ground roll (unnamed), looks mighty familiar. Well long story short guile seemed unable to punish even with a ex:sonic boom attempt. Hey maybe the guys just slow with guile, maybe shoulda have used one of his other punishes. Just my thoughts “it’s DISRESPECTFUL!!”

Rolento roll on block will have different bounce back based on strength used :stuck_out_tongue:

but did RFC just made ex horizontal ball in combos useless? since if i’m spending 3 meters anyways… why not just do regular MP ball into RFC for probably much bigger damage (even without ultra)

I would say HK upball xx RFC is a better idea

You can see that Nishikin really likes to use it after hop whenever he has 3 bars, but he also likes to mix it up with hop > throw
