Any tips for Blanka’s Hardtrial #3 which is j.hk => c.lp => electricity => Super
I’ve seen the video done on youtube and got the super to come out after electricity and it won’t connect…I know you have to get the super out immediately after the electricity but what’s the trick to it? Do you need to use the 5-button electricity to do that? I try not to over press the jab and do it as fast as possible but it won’t come out…or it won’t connect even when it comes out
How can i get the light punch to connect in hard trial 5?
jesus fucking christ either i rarely get the light punch to hit but, every other time the light punch whiffs but the ball hits. Whenever i get the light punch to hit the ball doesnt even come out
Another tip is make sure you are hitting the H.p button quickly. If you have a fightstick, that button must be registered before you max out the joystick all the way forward. I kept connecting my L.p but the ball was a hair late… charge…Speed…!
alright im getting irritated. I can manage to do characters I dont use trials . But im stuck on blankas. I even have is hard down but his easy is where im stuck.

ive seen the video and all that shows me is how good that guy is compared to me lol.
lots of people complain this one doesn’t register, i tried it about ten times in a row on my 360 version and it always works… saying that from what youve written youre probably doing the lp roll. the input window for presing/releasing a button is just shy of half a second, or greater than the amount of time that passes btween letting go of the button and pressing hp. in other words unless you hold down lp, you will get a jab ball.
Hi there, I’m stuck on Hard #3, the j.:hk: --> c.:lp: --> Electric Thunder --> Ground Shave Roll. The electricity is always out of range to combo out of the c.:lp:. Any help here would be appreciated!
EDIT: Just passed Hard #3, but #4 is annoying. J.:mk: --> c.:mk: --> Lightning Cannonball? I can combo an EX Rolling Attack off the c.:mk: but not the Ultra. Help?
Hmmm, I’ll try this. I’ve been doing it as a cancel like the normal low forward -> blanka ball.
What’s strange is that I can low forward into Super (which doesn’t combo), but I can never do low forward into Ultra? The super always comes out instead, even if I map a button to 3 punches…
To be honest, I got lucky with Hard #5 as I just mashed the buttons while holding :db: and :l: from the jump-in. I just finished E. Honda’s last Hard (my favourite cube so far IMO) and that’s similar to Blanka’s last hard, but more lenient with timing. I’m sure you’ll finish off Blanka sooner rather than later!
I finally decided to finish these the other day so I can give a bit of insight on 5. It is actually easier than it looks. My biggest problem was not having enough charge time, and the thing I was messing up with was the MP.
As you are hitting MP you want to go to down back, very very close timing(as in you want to be at down back during startup frames). I was scared that I was going to rockcrusher so I kept doing :mp:, :db::mk:, but as long as you are quick it shouldn’t be any trouble as the actual link combo isn’t too hard, especially in the corner cause the chance of the jab whiffing go down.
Basically adding :db: into the notation of the combo as its own part instead combining those last two is totally what got me over the hump. I think once I switched from the way I was doing it before it only took me like 4 tries, and I’m a horrible comboer.
