I’ve heard a lot of people complain that the Blanka mirror is pretty “random” but I think it’s very very structured.
I don’t think I’m the best Blanka player, but I think I’ve looked at and played the mirror vs. what are considered to be the better American Blanka players more than most people.
If you need some help practicing the mirror, I’m down. I’ll do ft5 or ft10.

Yeah it’s not random at all. Very patient turtle fest. People just make it random because they are both trying to rush each other down.
you can rush down really hard if you get a knockdown, but yeah thats it.
I guess everyone hates the mirror, lol.

being in hk doesn’t help either… and i try to avoid online play anyways

Those people are ass, IMO. The match is stupid, no doubt, but not random. It’s extremely cut and dry, once you realize that Blanka punishes Blanka easily.

Oh i forgot about that LOL. I was more talking in general. I don’t like the mirror too much. especially when i can just play balrog. That was too long ago, you’re far better now.
Yeah I can pick Fei for the mirror, but I’m still not confident in him because I don’t play him enough. I think I just need to grind him really hard. I mean I still beat Blanka 70% of the time I pick Fei, but I don’t feel as confident, and I know if the other players were capitalizing I’d be doing worse.
And yeah, I know I’m far and away better now. End of last year was really hard for me as a player. I hit a plateau and I was sick and couldn’t keep my hands still a lot of the time. The inability to play how I wanted to play because of sickness+sucking led to me hitting the lab super super hard and watching a lot of video.
I really understand not playing the mirror though in your position, I wouldn’t either.
Yeah and I used to main balrog so it’s not like a difficult process for me. I sometimes use him vs fei as well.
