Guile, Viper, Guy, Gouken, Fuerte, Balrog, Cody, Rufus, Yun, Yang, Dudley(still works but the old setup does not)
Not sure about yang, but I know blanka does not have an unblockable against yun, at least with the normal back throw into just mk. Is the jump hk required for yun?
Didnt know about cody either…rereading previous page, cuz this is new to me and i try to stay current…
lol at being slow
Doh
reread previous page
Saw the cody unblockable with j. hp.
Still disagree on yun unblockable, I’ve tried it many times, and it always seems to crossup. The real smart yuns just do crouch lk and my jump mk whiffs entirely.
The Yun unblockable is not with the standard setup, it is after super. It’s hard to do. It takes me about 3 records to do it.
we really need to organize all this info
maybe we should set up a google docs account to keep updating all the info you guys keep coming up with
I need to update the first few posts, and I’m working on some spreadsheet stuff, as is ilitirit, it’s just a lot of data.
useless information:
you can cancel st.LP into upball!
charge down, release the stick + LP, up + K
strict timing, but not that hard!
as i said: useless
yeah or use st lk for more damage or combo cr lk/lp into st lp then up ball, but they have to be standing
GIMMICK RIGHT HERE
im sorry if this has been posted alrdy but here is the setup
f.throw, back-hop super(jab ver), it will totally wiff and ull recover right as they do for another grab!
real nice way to piss off ppl lol. but hey it works and off the 2nd grab i usualy go for chip win with ultra1.
try it out guys!
I’d rather do whiff ex rainbow, 4 meter gimmicks are too expensive
another useless information:
you can also kara throw with LK~LP, but the distance is waaaay shorter than LP~LK!
you can also kara throw with cr.hk
or st.mp and you go backwards!
You actually use this? I cant think of a worse way to use meter.
Actually, think about it. If you’re playing a tense game, last round, and you’re playing against a character with a solid ex reversal and the meter to use it, you land a forward throw and they have a tiny amount of life left. Hop back, super. What do they think you’re trying to do in this situation? What can you almost guarantee their response will be? It’s definitely not a run of the mill gimmick. But just like the cross up ball, it sounds like a fantastic way to finish that one important round.
if I have no life left and somebody would roll into me with a super on wakeup I would go for a SRK/Ultra/invinceable reversal and beat ur throw!
you wouldn’t throw, you’d just super. and whiff. and block.
then punish the revesal and win. It’s the mind game of them not knowing the super was going to whiff. Like I said, will only work once per game, probably even only once per player. But who’s going to know about something like that in advance at a tournament. People will just assume you’re going to try and chip them out, and will respond with a very blockable reversal.
I made one of my biggest comeback ever with a whiff super into forward throw, into mizu bomb, finally ending it a good guess on post wakeup
I wouldn’t say it’s not usable… but its more like a once in a blue moon/save up for tourney strategy.

Who says gimmicks are meter free? No duh its pricey but its just another tool to fool ur opponent. Can’t do the same mixups ALL the time ;). And I for one have never seen another blanka do this so why not come up with new ways to fool ur foe?
cool, expensive, but cool! Sounds like new technology to me!! I am always looking for new ways to fool people, that is the real fun in using blanka IMO and the real reason why I play him!
I love doing things that just leave people thinking, WTF WAS THAT SHIZ. lol
actually i did mention whiffing super before in another thread many months ago… however didn’t mention the specific set up you mentioned… i basically mentioned about the range of each super whiffs, and how LP super is the easiest probably the easiest to use because it’s similar to whiffing an LP ball
