If you tap at a rhythm, BH can poke 7 standing shorts before he is pushed out of range. That has got to be valuable. Time it so they can’t call out an assist and we have … control.
So what Mr. Hollow that’s not good. THAT’S GREAT!!!
see this is the kind of stuff I was asking people to post up when I first brought up the tutorial vid. I don’t know stuff like this b/c my style of play is to poke once or twice, let them call their assist in a panic, and then counter call and punish. Notes taken!
Yeah all the stuff I sent you was the basic stuff. Junior level =P
The BH 400 and 500 level is what’s really up
Does the assist juggle involve: launch, sj.RH, ad, sj.lk, land, launch, repeat, cuz that’s another one that he can do that I didn’t record yet. If you have an anti air like commando, you can land s.lk+CC, s.mk, sjc, repeat above steps, and if they don’t know the point in which you can stop this it’ll be you punishing the assist with them stuck. He’s also got one where you make them bounce by c.lk, c.mp, sjc, [sj.jp, ad, sj.jp, sj.lk, sj.mp, land], repeat.
The Cyc-B stuff can be done with almost all the assists in the game. Only the throw has to be done from another set-up that I have recorded as well for some other assist. That goes for outside of the corner too.
To me those block strings are only so-so. I’m sure you noticed the openings in them. I actually allow those b/c I know exactly how to counter someone’s assist at those points when it’ll actually come out. It’s more of a trap string lol
I’ll be hitting you up on AIM for sure, so let’s here these ideas and make this vid worth it!
So yeah… finals are over! I remembered some of the stuff I was forgetting, learned of cross up animations from BH s.RH, and more. Been messing with the ground block strings too. I’ve manage to get 6 jps followed by 3 lks when they’re in the corner b4 BH is too far away. All that said, some serious production can begin for BH. :woot:
P.S. what happened to the guy that started this thread?? I didn’t scare him away did it? =P
So…I’ve been doing some BH tinkering and this is for those people insistent on doing his infinite. Most of you might know already but it might help if you’re going to do a quick reset against an opponent who might not know (or just forget to mash cause they think you’re still doing the infinite).
For the regular jumping+dash infinite, you can do up to seven or eight reps before the opponent spins out. I say seven or eight because it’s dependent on your all your demons connecting and I’ve had different results. But most of the times when I do everything “correctly,” max reps is seven for me. So at the sixth rep you can do inferno* xx super power or just super power. *Keep in mind that it’s very important you can only do the inferno and connect on someone who isn’t blocking already IF the opponent was still being juggled in the air. So if they bounce and go in the air, inferno xx power. But if they happen to land when you land, just do a super real quick.
TESTING METHODOLOGY: BH + Cyke AA assist on Cable
lk+mk+assist, s.j. and r.h demons. If everything connected, it should be 10 hits. This is where you can start your reps. Each rep should be 5 hits if all your demons connect. I do three jumping+dash r.h. demons. On fourth I just do a regular jump r.h. demons. Walk up to the character and lk+mk+assist for the reset (or just call cyke which is faster but less damage). Connect everything again same way as first. And you can start doing the infinite again for three more until they spin out. So it would be best to finish it off with a super before the seventh rep. This should kill or come very close to killing most characters.
You can do variables of this infinite and reset. This can be mix and matched however you like. Do one or two reps and reset or one and do three resets. Just keep in mind the total reps you’ve done which should be seven.
Someone should try and verify all of this.
fresh outta mtl.
solid blackheart play. samnang misses tons of combos, but he’s got the basics down.
i saw the video and well it’s OK, but for all the running around and comboing there is very little damage done on the part of sam. Blackheart is not design to be out there for too long, hence he get hurt easy, recovers slow and doesn’t do much damage. Blackheart is just for annoying your opponent, but if you give BH a good assisst he can be very deadly. However, magneto/BH/cyclops, does very little damage for all the effort you put in to it.
that said i think Magneto/Blackheart/Psylocke, might be a much better team. BH/Psylocke is really an unheard of duo. It’s a very fast game, but effective and damage worthy. Try that team is way better than mgs/bh/cyc.
I won’t speak on those matches. To be honest, there wasn’t anything noteworthy about his play…
On another note, I finally recorded my masterpiece. A solo GB using sj.RH demons into the infinite!
Truth. Mag/BH/Psy is a pretty cool team to play. IIRC you can double bounce inferno off of Psylocke’s assist.
BHKing put that vid up so I can have more Guardbreaks plz. :wgrin:
My, only problem with BH infinite is that it doesn’t do any damage. I dont really care that much about the super meter cause if they have mags or storm they will get the meter anyway. But trully, two to three reps of BH infinite gives your opponent 2 super meter bars at the cost of a damage amount equal to a BH 5 hit combo.
I agree. However, the infinite can be used to stall time or build your own meter for a DHC, which I believe will take full damage. You are giving them levels, but IMO if you get a character in the Inf, they won’t get out alive.
You're completely right though, Joe. If you know you can't kill that character, why even do the inf?
That statement is irrelevant if your BH is by hisself, which is the only time I’d use this SOLO GB into the infinite. From this you’d be able to keep the reps going until you begin to repeat HODs using the assist buttons. You can down right kill a whole team if you have two bars after killing their first character. I know, I did it the other night just to see how much damage I could get out of having 0,1, and 2 bars b4 the first GB.
That said I’m beginning to think that it would be a good idea to create a thread that covers all the scenarios in which it would be a good idea to do the infinite and the scenarios in which it would be a bad idea to do the infinite. I’m not really sure if there’s ever been a thread where this could be put up, so if there is let me know, and I’ll start it in there.
How do you do solo g/b to infinite?
you’ll just have to wait to see that in the video that I’m making… if I decide to put it there
If you don’t, then my mommy says I can’t play with you in the sandbox anymore.
lol… that actually made me laugh out loud. The plan is to start all the final recordings on Tuesday. Followed by editing on the next available day. And I still gotta figure out the music I’m going to use…
What genre of music did you have in mind BHK?
To be honest, I have no idea. My first thought was something kinda nerdy/educational but hip sounding. Like what they used in advanced tactics, but I don’t want it to be an advanced tactics rip if you know what I mean. Maybe something like killakelly’s ironman vid. Is there a name for that kind of music?
You could try something out of the house/techno genre. Maybe that will work.
Oh yeah, how’s your execution BHKing? I got some BH/Mag shit that you could also put in the vid.
any artist and/or songs that I should listen to, to get me on track? And execution and timing are not an issue for me.
