Thats stick works great with a Mayflash USB adaptor… Ive tested it on PC & PS3. A good cheap option.
Whats the lag on that monitor? Looked at the monitor lag thread and couldn’t find it.

It has roughly the same performance as the VH236H. It’s an updated version of the same monitor now using LED lights.
Grabbed a pair of the Tatsunoko Wii sticks posted earlier on the GameShark/MadCatz site; splitting it with a colleague of mine.
I don’t see myself using it much at all (I actually don’t like the Vewlix layout), but I figure at $20, it’s worthwhile to get just to mod and mess around with.

“Roughly” isn’t really a good answer. Does that mean 4 more ms? 8 more ms? Exactly the same?
I wish someone would get one in and do a side-by-side comparison with the VH236H. They SHOULD be the same or similar, but that doesn’t mean that they are…
And half the reviews online say it’s a lot more laggy and the other half say it’s exactly the same- except everyone’s doing it “by feel” and not via testing.

They’re roughly the same. You should notbe overly picky about an inexact test like the stopwatch test based on flash animation. They are more or less the same monitor.

I’m confident that the guts of these monitors are identical aside from the back light If I get the free time I’ll try and do some tests once I get my monitors. I don’t havea DVR splitter so I’ll have to run them in clone mode from one of my video cards. Crap I need more HDMI cables…
Changing from LCD to LED technology is more than a minor change in a monitor…
How major of a change is it to go from LCD backlighting to LED backlighting?
I’m not trying to be a douche bag, but we have several threads where people are quite anal about a few ms of lag. One of which is this one: Sub 1 frame HDTV/Monitor Input Lag Database
“More or less the same” and “Roughly the same” tell me… nothing really. What if I needed an exact count of medicine to administer to a patient “eh, take 5-10 pills and call me in the morning.” Yeah it’s not a life or death situation like medicine is, but the point stands- for some people numbers are quite important. The VH236H is loved by this community and yet it has been discontinued… We’d love for the VH238H to be a replacement, but not at the expense of substantially more lag. Until these numbers come out, people are going to be wary of buying the monitor. If it lags more than the Vh236h, few people will want it if it averages 20-30 ms (~1.25-2 frames) but substantially more will want it if it lags 16 ms (~1 frame).
Also I don’t particularly care for exact numbers. Clone your stopwatch onto a VH236h and a VH238h and see what the numbers are. People really care how it performs compared to a 236.
