Well supers too; supers and ultras have 26f to input so it’s pretty lenient. You can autocorrect sides with Ultra 1 a lot because the timing is that long.

I can’t think of a WHOLE lot of use for dash Ultra 1 at the moment. Maybe catch some floaty jumper, get a reaction out of people with it, and just maybe focusing past some attacks or projectiles. It wouldn’t punish fireballs but it might catch some people off guard.

if u already buff the Ultra, and dash while see them jump, I think j.mp x2 will catch them most of time.

I still need to learn how to buff the charge, U2 buff I get it, but is not that useful since it just so fast, you can just do it by reaction for maybe guile is not the case.

its not a crossup… it just hits on the first possible frame to make most of the cast HAVE to block, anything else will get hit.

I think he’s talking about the crossup headstomp that supposedly works on Chun Li.

How do you input ultra 2 from back/down-back position ? Having to do HCF QCF+KKK seems way too long.

Just let your hand naturally go to neutral and quickly do QCF x 2 + KKK. I think there’s a shortcut that you can use that’s down, down forward, down, down forward, forward + KKK so maybe you can just ride the gate from down back to down forward then down to forward + KKK.

I try to do 1236,2369+KKK (number pad) to avoid teleports. I just slam that shit like it is just some hot pussy.

As a Bison main, what’s generally considered better for your stick, a square or octo-gate? Been getting pretty frustrated lately with a square gate.

It’s really a matter of preference.

I think Square gate is really good for almost any character, but I’ve only used the standard square gate thus far. Still, square hits the corners, and allows Bison to hit that spot neccessary for the downback charge without even a second thought. On an octo gate you may be looking for the downback direction, and second guessing it.

I think octo is mainly for characters who use 360 and 720 motion moves like Zangief’s movelist, maybe T.Hawk, Hakan, etc.

A couple of questions here.

Firstly what’s frame advantage is Bison on on block when he does a level 2 FA.

Secondly does anyone have advice on the best tick throw set-ups to use? My main problem is I have frame traps and general pressure, but because I don’t use tick throws enough I’m not conditioning people to try and OS tech. Currently I use crossup mk ,c.jab st.jab > throw. I also use c.short > throw.

How do you guys deal with max range Shoto sweeps? The move seems to stuff my st.mk and st.hk, and Bison’s FA is kind of lackluster. I also get swept out of SK start-up.

a square gate, because when u do some kinda horizontal charge move, you can ride the bottom of the gate and it still works, also you can still maintain a vertical charge while riding the bottom of the gate to do some cool charge buffer stuff.
for example: EX psychocrusher knockdown to headstomp/devils reverse right after like wtf so quick as they wake up.

also square gate is sweet for the down back if you like riding the gate.

Because those red version of fireballs range from 1 to 3 hits depending on the strength.
