Might be just because Jwong is using her, but it seems like Makoto isnt as BAD as everyone makes her out to be…
She’s not. She’s got some good tools and shit, but the World Warriors just got buffed so god damn much it doesn’t really matter.
Everyone is two tied up in tiers and match up points to really explore these character and see what there really made of.
Once I get my stick fixed up maybe I should explore Makoto a bit…

Makoto’s only hinderance is that:
A. Reversal Dragon Punch mashing kind of nullifies some offense
B. Heavy zoning characters put her fire out pretty well.
C. EX-Karakusa is too short!
Other than that, I think she’s still pretty good offensively against a lot of the cast. People give too much credit to tier lists.

Yeah I read it, it’s good. I just need some fresh perspectives on match ups cuz all my experience is limited to online and it boils down to the frequency of character use on XBL and PSN (I play on both).

- meaty roundhouse is good
- try to pressure as hard as u can without pressing too many unnecessary buttons
- dont tick grab or axe kick will rape u
- respect makotos st. strong
- corner makoto and focus backdash her gimmicks
- scissor kick loop is not smart… think dhalsims back med kick… maks st. strong stuffs it clean… so u gotta mix in ex pc or delay a roundhouse to keep em honest

Thanks for the breakdown - these two points I didn’t consider before.
Makoto can do tons of damage very quickly - one or two bad reads is all a good player needs. I think Makoto having a life lead is a pretty bad situation, forcing Dictator to press more buttons and take more risks, which Makoto can punish severely.
after playing Flash Metroid’s Makoto in casuals the othery day, i agree with these tips. especially on the “2. try to pressure as hard as u can without pressing too many unnecessary buttons” St. strong rapes 
If you can get the knock down, makoto is pretty easy to deal with, if you get knocked down, be prepared for a beating and/or ex PC out of there lol
the first combo is cr. jab, s.jab, s.short, cr,.short(cr.forward could be used here)-light scissors
and
the second is cr. jab, cr. jab, s.jab, cr.short-light scissors,
that vega didnt seem to know how to block though. Wayyy to many counterhit combos.
