he had to play like a total jerk to win. props to him though, he did what he needed to do. when i was watching that, it looked like after the first round he was like HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, I’m FUCKING SAGAT!!! Next round: I anticipate a poke, TIGER UPPERCUT. I just empty jumped behind him…TIGER UPPERCUT. lol, good shit though that’s some top tier shenanigans. sometimes when I play as Sagat I do that stupid shit too if I have two bars, like walk up TU FADC lol. so dumb but i kind of love it.
^^^ that just proves how bs Sagat is- but it’s still the Dictators fault imo. I could tell pretty quickly when first watching that the Sagat had gone into crazy FUCK THIS TIGER UPPERCUT mode. I mean if you see him do an almost full screen empty jump into Tiger uppercut and can’t pick up what’s going on by now then =x. Especially after the TU fadc…TU…However what usually happens is AFTER they land a random uppercut- they get you into a 50/50 and throw you and now most people are totally mindfucked. Anytime I run into that (and I do alot online) I basically do nothing but bait them and not really attack ever except when I’m punishing each TU as severely as I can. Usually after only 1 or 2 harsh punishments they calm down a bit though- at least if they don’t have 2 bars.
Because dictators arensal is limited to scissors he’s very predictable. Almost anytime someone jumps toward dictator(or neutral jumps) but land to far to hit him and out of c.lk range what happens? Lk scissor for chip- 99% of the time. The sagat knows this and baited that shit.
Same reason why Dictator gets swept alot vs Chun and Balrog, they know after any sort of “block string” pushing themsevles and dictator to almost midrange he’s probably going to either s .hk (which goes right over their head…use s mk) or scissor= both of which sweep beats pretty much always.
It’s kind of important to avoid making habits like that.

Thing is tho lynch, you can only bait so much if it doesn’t yield any results. Any poke can be TU’d. Any scissors can be TU’d. If you don’t have him KDd, you don’t really have many amazing tools to bait him with. And Sagat still has other means of dealing damage while you stand there mindfucked, not too sure about whether you should risk pressing a button or not :[. Safe TKs and 50/50s where I risk to lose 40% on CHs are the bane of my existence.

Surprised to see TUC give it up like that but it happens to everyone. Blocking, smart teching and safe attacking is the only way.

Recorded some matches earlier this morning. I like Bison but haven’t really focused on him until recently (was trying to get better with Abel). Still have trouble with certain match-ups (namely Guile, E. Honda, and shotos that mash light shoryuken) but do decent around half of the time.

Some matches are me making a lot of stupid mistakes, but the Boxer match was just me getting completely shut down. Kind of locked up after that first round. lol
Sorry to say this but your bison definetely needs improvement. First of all you need to get the BnB’s down. Also you have to punish better - why dont you use cr.mk>hk scissors or hp>hk scissors? In the ryu match you never went for that and ate a DP because you did the scissors right away. You use way too many headstomps for my taste and never go for wakeup pressure, so i think you could work on that too… I also think that these kinds of videos are better of in the video critique thread.

Headstomps are something I’ve been trying to fix. Got into a bad habit of automatically doing a headstomp every time I get a knockdown. MK/HP into scissor kicks is just something I haven’t gotten used to yet.
Looks like we might to see some current vids of Shungoku neurosis and Chichimonda Honda this upcoming saturday.
These two Dics will invade Gods Garden if the are able to penetrate and move pass the God’s garden entry qualification, Im sure neurosis and Chichimonda Honda dic are firm enough to breach Gods walls.
I also hope to see Tuc and Kuma enter as well, along with Kim.
