thats interesting. cant wait to see what the comp is like when i move back to the states in Feb. there are no bison mains ive encountered here in korea, some people who definitely play him proficiently but no one who takes him as serious as i do. i hate mirror matches that aren’t with srk folks anyways. shit always stresses me out and mindfucks me. people here play everyone so proficiently that its always kinda embarassing when someone owns me with like a great viper, ryu, sagat, gief, fuerte or whoever and then switches to bison and does the same haha.
edit: WTF? 14??? thats ridiculous. what percent of those players you think were near solid to impressive? its nice to see he’s getting more love, but that’d kind of suck if he got the same stigma as ken. UPPERCUT UPPERCUT…HEADSTOMP HEADSTOMP.
i kinda like that he’s a less popular character, its always a bit more fun or unique seeing a good bison pop up in a tourney that way, kind of like gen or cammy. oh well, it just means more stuff to build on the metagame if there are more players pooling up, figuring out new approaches, etc. should be interesting to see how he fares in popularity once SSF4 comes out.
on that note, i’m stoked to find out even a shred of new info on good ol’ dic after the Vegas fight club since its now confirmed that all chars will be playable.

Lost to no bisons yet, but Legendary Fis7 or whatever on XBL put up some damn good fights. Too much unsafe sliding (which i am guilty of myself) and not enough FA’s. People don’t understand how fucking amazing Bisons focus really is. You can bait out footsies so well with it and punish. I only fought ONE bison that knew how to use meaty Slide -> EX SK or ULTRA or etc properly. And that was after I used it on him like twelve times.
bison is weird because his move set doesnt really have well defined distances. Hadoken you know where it will go. Tatsu you know where it will go. Jesus kick, ditto.
But HS and DR can mind fuck BOTH players if you dunno what to expect. SK loops all depend on distancing, and if you dunno the proper distancing, it can screw you over.
man, they need to fuck the US, and bring that shit canadian side. I would LOVE for capcom to show some love to the country that has yet to achieve ‘teh awesomeness of being represented’

Im also thinking the if Bison slides into another Bison slide, neither bison should get knocked down. Just a thought.
your crossovers were messing me up though. A few times I had no clue which way to block lol. My neutral jFK was fucking u up a few times though.

I need a rematch against Soviet and Tyrone. I wont be happy winning any matches til i beat both of them. Soviets got some good FA/wakeup shit but I think I can get past that next time. Tyrone…I dont remember…I just remember I got my ass eaten (no homo) on Snowy Railyard.
And Soviet, you got any advice? Idk if weve played enough for you to evaluate but id like to hear some pros/cons.
I would really appreciate it if someone would spend some time with me on my bison skills. I feel like I don’t understand his style of play besides his s. mk/hk and c.lkxsk. Is it just me or is Bison a really thinking character? You can’t really go auto pilot with him and spam.
