Heavily favored for Birdie. Chain grab blows up his 2 hit fire ball. His demon flip is very easy to react too. Akuma has trouble getting in.
Plus you can ex grab him out of his CA.

what guys think about birdie vs necalli in s2? in s1 necalli was a very hard match for birdie, but now?
Hard to tell, a lot of Ryu and Necalli players are still trying to use jab aa’s which get them blown up a lot. Muscle memory be damned I guess.
But Necalli is mostly the same and with the nerf on cr mp and St/cr mk is has become more difficult to bully him with normals.
But Birdie get’s more pressure from chains and c.grabs and Necalli lost his meterless dp.
It’s all about momentum in this match. So it feels like a true 5-5 match-up. Maybe slightly in favor of Necalli because of his stronger v-trigger and more varied ways to get in.
Right now this feels like the superman vs doomsday match up in injustice. Perfect counter pick to air-fireball gameplay

Keeping in stHP max range also keeps you in range of bullhorn even if she tries to bait with normal jump or short regular DK

Just beat diamond rashid with birdie and it felt so gooooooood
I figured out a solution to one of the problems in the Bison matchup. The big problem, or one of the big problems, is that Bison can do his downfoward HP and there’s not much you can do to stop that. And now that Bison’s LK is 3 frames, he can lock your ass down once you block the downfoward HP. But it turns out that if you’re in V-Trigger, after he does the downfoward HP you can do EX Bullhead to blow that shit up. And since EX Bullhead is now safe it only makes to go for it.
I don’t know if this is common knowledge or not but I thought some might like this.

i think we should organize better birdie’s forum, there are a lot of good info but it’s all over the place.
Question: why do some Birdie’s do the st.LK, st.LP, LP Bullhead/EX Bullhead combo as opposed to the LKx2, Bullhead combo? Seems obvious to me to go for LKx2 because LK is +3 on block and you can go for shenanigans.
lk,lk has a lot less range, so it whiffs more.
Yesterday I had a match against a bison and I realised one thing. I don’t know what to do after a headstomp. Does anyone have soms pointers?
Usually i just crouch and wait to cr.mp the followup. If you aa the followup it puts you in an advantageous position, if not its kinda whatever, ill just got back to walking forward and playing footsies.
Getting back into the game, big surprise, I’m suuuuper rusty.
The Cr.MP nerf doesn’t seem to affect a lot… except the Chun-Li match. Before the patch I’d regularly stuff all her crossup shenanigans with Birdie’s hair, now I’m the one getting stuffed. Outside of that the move’s fine. Anyone have a solution besides blocking?
Also having real trouble with the Cammy matchup. Jebus, I have to relearn which moves are punishable across the whole darn game, really.
Okay, what the hell am I supposed to do against Kolin and Rashid when they’re in on me? All I can do is play super passive and chip them down with pokes. Super annoying, and I don’t see any gaps in Rashid’s blockstrings.
