I didn’t notice any changes so far.
Because s.LP got buffed, Birdie’s hitconfirm is now longer and easier.
You can now do:
s.LP, s.LK, s.LP xx l.Bullhead (also works from crossups)
Does the s.LP buff allow Birdie to do c.LK, s.LK, s.LP xx LP Bullhead?
No, it doesn’t work on Ryu at least.

works on point blank crouching Ryu, Ken, Mika, Laura, Birdie and probably others. It whiffs if u dash into ur opponent (instead of walking), jump or cross him up. I also haven’t been able to use it as a punish vs point blank Mika slide attacks. -

Character-specific, crouching only combos lol, we Guilty Gear now. Thanks for testing this.
Did you happen to try that string with the 1F timing described in Bafael’s video? He says it reliably works on crouching and cornered opponents, but maybe with the new hitbox buff, it will work reliably on standing opponents as well?
you can hit confirm off cr.lk, st.lk and do lp bullhead if they don’t block. its more leisurely than cr.lk x2 shippu in 3s and stuff like that. if you’re lazy like me an don’t like char specific stuff just omit the lp.
I was under the impression that s.LK is only special cancelable in V-Trigger, was it always special cancelable?
Yeah, I think this was something they added during beta3. Before that it wasn’t throw invincible. Last beta I was testing it, and it wasn’t throw invincible on the very first frame, but every frame after that it was throw invincible.
Also, EX bull revenger gets off the ground after frame 1 so you can sort of use it to “beat” throws the same way. Although you’ll fly over your opponent from that range and they will likely punish you. EDIT… might be useful against other command grabs.
Lol I haven’t played since beta 1 and i’m getting ROCKED online. cr. mp is still as godly as ever though :3

Most of the combos remained the same. I’ll update my old combo list with the updated damage soon.
All combos with MP can either be done with cMP or sMP, there’s only a 10 dmg difference.
All combos ending with VT xx L.Bullhead can be replaced with VT xx EX Bullhead if you want to spend meter.

i struggle vs sim and vega.
i feel his jump grab gives him alot of mileage but once people learn to neutral jump it he’s going to have trouble getting in without v trigger.
i feel his armour punch should combo on hit. v trigger should be 2 bars and v skills startup reduced to doughnut speed.
I don’t get why Birdie ist very popular at the moment. The fact that you can spam the donut and get your vtrigger so fast up is insane. But I feel like way more people Ragequit if I play Birdie instead of Necalli.

Speaking of that, I was under the impression that the donut would give you a normal amount of V-Meter, while the other 2 food items would give you a much lesser amount, but in training mode they all give a 1/6 of a bar. Is that new?

This was added in Beta 3.
In Beta 2, u had to do Banana or Can 15 times to build 1 vbar.
Also worth noting that Vmeter doesn’t build with Bananas or Cans when Vtrigger is already active. It only Build up with the Donut.

I just double checked just to be sure. But EX Bullhorn is still the same with Beta 2 and 3 on block. It doesn’t give less pushback or anything.
It’s just that Ryu’s low forward got buffed. I dunno about Chun Li, though.
