That’s nice. I can’t help but feel it’s a way to gain publicity since Macintosh is getting a lot of attention.
MS and Bill have been donating a ton of money though his foundation for years. They are true philanthropist.
With that said, this is not a donation but an “invest[ment of] $10 billion” by them.

I always wondered if I’d ever see him give that much but since his old company will constantly keep him and his family rich, he can afford to do this. I hope this inspires other multi-billionaires but I doubt it.
I remember seeing a TV special with him and his wife a few years back and he said that he’s going to be giving the majority of his money to the education system of the United States over the next 10-15 years.
I wish Bill Gates would donate money for a new arena for the Sonics…
