Big Women in Fighting Games

does anyone else think that its a little weird theres so many petite female fighters in Fighting Games? in addition to being a guy who likes women w/ a little meat on their bones (shoutouts to chubby asian babes) I like realism too and I doubt any woman that trains hard to fight would be so twiggy.

some of my favs are Chun-Li and chubby Athena. anyway, just some food for thought

I’m with you 100%.

Dem thighs.

Probably because big girls in fighting games are always high tier. Like Angela in Power Instinct Matrimelee 2.

is bloody roar actually ‘playable’ as a fighter? my friend and i played the shit out fo the demo a bunch of years ago and i kinda wanna try it again. dont wanna try the newer ones thought since ps1 era 3d is really cool

I guess Rila from Breaker’s/Breaker’s Revenge counts

They should make a woman that’s like 8 feet tall and strong as fuck, like Chyna or something

They need that bitch from Crying Freeman in a game. Holy shit.

jesus christ i am laughign really hard

Bloody Roar 2 is better in my opinion(and lucky for you, it’s on PS1!), but they’re both okay. You’ll most likely end up mashing a lot, but it’s good silly fun.

I agree with the OP actually, but there are very few female characters in fighting games who aren’t there for pure sex appeal. The only one I can think of that isn’t mentioned already is Sheeva from the Mortal Kombat series. Sheeva’s pretty hot, but she seems to have some rather lukewarm reception.

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of when seeing this thread was Mama Tua from Ready 2 Rumble Round 2?

I remember one of the very first if not the first, i think her name was helga she was in the human killing machine, i think it was the late 80’s
She was pretty hard if i remember right she’d kill you in 2 or 3 blows

There’s also the woman from power instinct who’s name escapes me

Yo, I always tell people that wanna know about BR to drop down to the BR thread in the other games section…but no-body ever listens.

The game is as much of a button masher as Tekken is. Sure, at low levels of play against other people that’s fine, but against someone that knows anything have fun getting launched, air canceled/juggled into oblivion. The game’s a strange mixture of 2D/3D; Sidestep/Z-axis isn’t that important as say the advanced movement in Tekken because trying will just get you hit. Its more like dodge in VF in 1/2 and 3 its just for positioning. It has a lot of frame advantage/traps going on like Tekken (3D) but it has the ability to combo stuff like a 2D fighter (jump ins, the air combos, chaining into stuff). And then the game gets really deep when you study the properties of moves and learn how guard cancel and special cancel…you get tons of options.

Now…for the different games: BR1 is pretty solid and sets a lot of the ground work for the later titles. Its still really solid, and you get to play people like Mitsuko, Fox, Greg that were removed later (Although Jenny builds off Fox and Stun off Mitsuko respectively). BR2 builds on it a bit by introducing the beast cancel point and some better presentation, but overall I just don’t have as much fun with it, it has a lazy, incomplete feeling to it. BR3 fixes a lot of that, they add a ton of options to characters, people get really fleshed out and they add the air cancel system. Really, the deepest and most competitive BR. BR PF is a enhanced remake of 3 on GC and Xbox and adds some good stuff along with some bad stuff. BR4 is just complete garbage; they stripped down the system by removing things for no reason, has a ton of glitches, bad voice acting and aesthetics and just plain unfun to play.

 • Playable or non because the latest KoFs have stages dedicated to big, obese women. Almost to the point of me scratching my head at the realism put in to these scenes. How the hell are they able to jump so high?

You do realize that at the end of the day, it’s all just window dressing for hitboxes.

That said, xHiIH_WlSfM"]this may just be right up .

That lady plays a lot like King from Tekken.

big women?

Bloody roar was smart enough to take its too ugliest characters out after the first game, replacing the cross dressing dude for an actual woman and the large middle aged woman for a dude, both of which transformed into better animals.

Not enough Tobal talk here.

Though I’ll admit Gren and Epon were more my thing.
