Here is the problem.
I have european chiped ps2. As you guys may already know, when you try to record footage from game or video DVD, this really nasty protection called macrovision shows up distorting the picture. I have heard that when using capture card for PC there is some kind of additional program, or plug-in that allows you to remove the macrovision regardless of the games region or your console. However I want to know if there is a way to overcome the protection using specific mode chip or VHS video. I want to record a really long, constant footage something like 2 hours so I think that VHS is the best choice for that purpose. So I thought of putting on Matrx infinity 1.93 chip which has macrovision fix and green fix functions. Sadly today I was told that macrovision/green fix functions for that chip are strictly for DVD videos only. Do you guys happen to know something about this?
When I try to record with really old VHS video, macrovision is still a problem. My guess is that this is a problem for some DVD recorders as well.
So in short, how can I record NTSC/J video game footage, without PC, using European PS2 and VHS video?
Any kind of help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
