I thought there were mainly a few balance issues in 1.01 and they didn’t really need to touch it much after that.
Then they gave it a lobotomy. But to be fair I think the game has potential if they can sort these latest patches out.
How is this game solid? Please explain it to me because EVERYONE i know including myself who has played this game already knows that its garbage.
As was said, the game was fun as hell in 1.01. There were some minor beefs, but it played like a evolved and faster version of the Art of Fighting series, and actually had some interesting ideas that had potiential after a bit of tweaking. It even had a boxer that wasn’t stereotypical and utter shit(Burai) and a character with an partner that wasn’t brokesauce. (The Twins) Plus Senna was just fun as hell.
The patches however, fucked everything up, and each one refuses to fix the main two problem I have with it now: Returning the stamina meter to it’s orginal charge speed and taking out that stupid Hold forward + hard attack to do a specific move, which wrecked my execution for certain moves or combos. There’s some other annoying shit like no air throws, but those are the worst ones.
If the team would get it’s head out of it’s ass, this game would reach the potiential it had to be a great fighter.
It was changed so that you will have more incentive to Extend Charge and burn stock (22P). Nobody does this because they’re so shit scared of “losing” things. HP and stock are meant to be used more than hogged. Normal charging should be a valid way of getting P-Gauge but -not- something to do inbetween loops.
These are an awesome addition, spicing up the wake- and mix-up game of the cast as well as serving as a tool against turtling. Learn to press button, no need to whine.
I admit that the air game is a little lacking, but it doesn’t really give me a headache as jumping is for Kunagis.
l2p, I find most of the stuff the patches brought to be extremely fun. Maybe things aren’t as godlike as they were, but they’re fun nonetheless.

I think cause it was something new and we were all still learning it. Its not suprising to me. Everyone i know including u chibi was hyped for a week.
Yes we all figured out just how silly this game is. Im still in awe that this thread is alive. Maybe ill get hype when “BBB Second Coming” comes out.

Sorry Rez but with Arcana Heart out now and other games :wonder:, i just cant see myself ever touching this again unless they add or do alot more with it. I actually cant really give any suggestions im just goona go play better games lol

(PS : To me, BBB is much better now than in 1.06, it became more technical while staying very fun … You just have to take care of your P bar, and that’ll be good enough ^^ And I think the new charging IS good, 'cause it makes “Full bar” combos useless, 'cause you’re in deep sh* after :P)
(PPS : And if I like rather BBB than AH, it’s mostly due to the chars … I find ALL BBB chars cool, when I find all of them crappy in AH -___-)
nah i still like/play bbb.
I kinda got lost in all the upgrading, I imagine if it comes out for Arcade of console then I’ll get back into it though…at least then there’ll be a scene I can take part in.

I think the P-meter changes aren’t so bad now really. But the game still feels really “beta” right now. I’ll probably pick it back up at some point though. I really enjoyed 1.01.
I think thats my issue is that the game feels and plays like a beta testing game. I need something more to really sway me toward playing this game more.
