I was aware that, for instance, Rouga’s f.A drained a li’l meter as it was a command technique. It’s just that I notice now that C - be it jumping, standing, crouching, or command forward or back results in draining a nice chunk of meter.
I think I understand the principle around it as so much comes from the use of that button. It just caught me off guard so I had to ask.

Oh btw if you mash directionals while you charge it drains health and builds it like 5 times faster.
I learned that tidbit by experimenting with ways of building meter. I said to myself, “How DBZ can this shit get?” So everytime I charge I perform 1 quick 360. I just don’t care for how that drains health. I mean… seriously.

I think so far the only bad things I’ve seen are that P-Charge takes a second to start now, which it wasn’t to easy to find time to charge in the first place. This wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t change 22P but they did. It only builds 20-25% P-Gauge using a full B meter instead of 100% like before. Thats all crap. I mean, now moves don’t take as much P-Gauge anymore, but when you run out… good fucken luck.
Other then that, I few small changes I don’t like, but there plenty more small ones that I do like.
You can special cancel the 22P, and you can also cancel the 22P into another 22P. So if you use 3 or 4 stocks with like [22P]x4 you can fill your P-Meter instantly.
That gives Kunagi a bit of an advantage since she can teleport cancel or command-jump cancel her 22P pretty quick.

If you start a combo from a 2A the damage would be significantly less than starting from a j.C or special move.
Ikusat told me about damage scaling for normals/specials/supers/boosts back in early July. He also explained how the first hit-scaling worked. And he also has a list of the defense ratings for each character.

That was a feature in the last version too.
If you notice, you can’t P-Charge past your lifebar. But if you spin the directionals while P-Charging you can actually drain your life in order to add more P-Meter at the cost of life. Which I know you could do in the older version.
And gain more attack power as well

Which, if you notice, looks almost the same as her 1.01 stuff, just a lot less claw swipes.
Meanwhile, Fraps still does not work with BBB on my system, yet Fraps works with every other game I have. And Hypercam seems to have a lot of problems with certain backgrounds (frame drops). Oh well.
And with that done, back to playing a different game until another patch is released.

Wow. I’m thinking I’ll wait for one more patch before I pick this game up again. Or at least until some form of netplay.
I enjoy this game despite it faults. I’m not willing to discard it just yet. What am I wondering about is what other games are there to play that are just as fun? I’m not all the interested in Monster and I have A. Blitzkampf (which is a blast I just enjoy this a little more). I’ve been looking at Eternal Fighter Zero and been considering playing it for quite awhile now as well as Scarlet Weather Rhapsody.
What does the group suggest? I need something to fill in the void as I wait for another patch and when I grow tired of practicing with Ren/Rouga/Tenrou.
I cant bring myself to play Loli fighters, I get too many people wandering around my house that just be wierd
