Big Bang Beat

who did you play test this on?

That seems like a whole mess of meter usage for one combo. I try to keep my combos to 2 meters tops, but thats just me.

Heres a non-41236H combo for Rouga

j.H>5LMH(or whatever)>Rekkas>B>5M>j.LMH>2L5M>j.LM>214B>5LMH>623H 4.3k on Ren,

4.1k iif you start with a 2M>5H instead of the j.H>5LMH

(adjust according to opponent, since it probably wont work on short people.)

Maybe I should note that this is in corner, and only when I put B is when meter is being used. I am uploading the vid of that combo on youtube.

BBB at SBO quals in Houston reps should be going up soon D:
My first time playing the full version so expect my Ren to suck. No clue how to fight Burai!

A better guard break if you have meter is the dunk as it will grab them almost immediately after they block the spike. The only problem is obviously following it up, but if you do it right you can just do a hop boost into a jump a,b, st.b, st.c xx spike and go for another reset. Of course they could always just tech foward out of that reset but you can always finish the combo instead.

Oh wow, after discovering Heita can transform he is instant-win now. So much better, but it’s too bad that it would be difficult to get into that mode in a normal match.

WTF is this!
This is meterless!

Yeah… its funny how I am the only person that left a comment on that video, but fooligar posted that vid a few days ago, Jdash

Except for the enhance that you gain after you transform into Super Heita… Don’t know about that one yet.

Anyone got shit about Ren?

I read the wiki and I got most of his combos down (with some modifications, for some reason I can’t get j.A ~ j.B to link with anything after I land) so I’m looking for like, air combos and how to get out of bad situations (especially against Kunagi).

Anything would be appreciated really.

A couple of people have probably already noticed these.

Reuploaded number 2 after reencoding it since youtube refuses to accept the original. Which is why it looks like dog shit.

Apologies if those vids seem kinda scrubby. Remus and I had only started playing with each other the day prior. We had actually taken like 3 pages of replays and anything interesting only started around 1 and a half pages down.

Anyway today we recorded more matches and they’re quite a bit better. Though we’re still making a lot of mistakes. Like I’m still spamming projectiles way too much.

(Video 5 here also received the reencode treatment. I need to figure out why YT is rejecting certain vids.)

Anyway we’ve also convinced two more people to play. One is playing Heita and Ren and the other Daigo. I’ve also started to play a bit of Senna though I’m not sure if I want to run with her. So you might see some matches of those characters from us Singapore players soonish.

heh, matches aren’t bad. reminds me of early AH matches. with kunagi try to use the 22A/B/C for okizeme more. you can do some extremely sick stuff with that after puting out the 63214C. also, i found you can do 63214C gives so much frame advantage when meaty, you can do an empty dash to some crouching attacks for even more mindgames.

for some reason epty dash into crouching attacks dont work in this game, like its so obvious and slow that its almost better to go high then high again.

edit: btw thx for the matches

I got the game a few days ago. Absolutely love it. Rouga and Heita are my favorite characters.

Forgive me for being a total noobie about this, but I’m somewhat confused about all these numbers you guys keep throwing out. I have a feeling this has something to do with the controls, but I’m not too sure.

Oh yeah, and how do you change the controls. I tried doing them myself in the Options program, but I couldn’t find anything that let’d you do it (Plus it’s in Japanese…>.>)

Wow. So where in bloody Hell can you purchase a copy?

Except that I said what his did in the IRC room the second night the game was out. And they said they were going to put it in the Wiki…I guess they just didn’t. Oh well.

Here.

if you put out 63214C when they’re waking up, then it gives enough frame advantage to combo into a crouch attack after an empty dash.

if you have a pad, set either P1 or P2 to the joystick id that the pad has (check it in Control Panel). then go to the options ingame and set controls there. btw the ‘numbers’ we’re talking about has to do with numpad notation.

Once you get them used to blocking you can do an empty AD from the dash which brings you closer to the ground and gives them a bit less time to react to it being a low or overhead. If nothing else it’s a way to keep them guessing. Works best when you delay the AD a bit.

Edit: Actually now that I look at it it gives them more time. But if you delay the AD enough you’re basically low enough that the overhead won’t actually come out and you’re on the ground faster as a result.

What if I want to change the controls to something else on the keyboard?

Or if I wanted to change it so I can use the numpad like mentioned?

well, if you want to use the keyboard, open up the options program, and press the last buttton to config keyboard controls.
