Big Bang Beat

I use fraps but it seems you have to switch to 16bit mode so that slowdown won’t get cha

I try out fraps once I get some familiarness with the game. Burai seems a bit more complicated thanks to the different attacks and direction needed to push. i’m willing to learn.

my only question from here would be switching it into D-pad mode. i’m stumped on this one. I must be missing something on how to get a D-pad or arcade stick working.

I personally use a ps2 -> USB converter I got from Radio Shack for 15 bucks. Works fine with no additional software to be installed and I have had no problems with BBB (trial, haven’t gotten the full version).

Yewp, I noticed that too. But, 22B is an overhead. Also you can use 5d as a quick over head, just do c as soon as you boost and you get a j.C.

I think I found a use for Heita’s command run. It’s special cancellable at any time, so you hit them with a special while taking advantage of your super armor. I’m thinkin’ that doing the command run while getting back up kills a lot of your opponent’s okizeme. Haven’t tried it yet, so I dunno if that would work, but I would hope so!

That little brown shit is top-tier. I love using him. And lol at the final boss.

You can actually combo into his 6a, and it’s cancelable into specials and in some cases (that I haven’t looked into yet) it ground bounces the opponent.

I play Kunagi, Daigo and a little bit of agito.

This game is lots of fun, I wish I had some insight to share to make this thread a little more worth it, maybe I’ll get some daigo combos up in a day or two. (no videos though cause fraps is no good on my comp)

Just recorded a new Kunagi vid. Basically a throw combo that goes into 63214C wakeup.

before you go into the wakeup of the throw when you do the 421 a~c you can still pick them back up for a little more damage. You prolly knew that but just wanted to point it out for those who didn’t.

Yeah I was thinking about doing another vid where I continue the combo but I already showed that in the previous vid. The wakeup off this one is a bit different anyway. There’s enough time to 66 and do an overhead or land and low or throw.

Ooooh I see. Good stuff nonetheless.

So Daigo has a relaunch without boost and it’s reallyyy hard but it does decent damage for no meter…

cr.abc, jump, delay, c,c, st.b,cr.c, super jump abcc dp+c hcf+c! yay, it looks dope but it’s really hard also instead of relaunching you can get similar damage if you just do st.b, st.c xx some special of your choice, it does slightly less but it’s a bit easier.

or of course you can just take your one stock and do like close to 4000 with cr.ab, st.c xx hcf+c boost cr.ab, st.c xx d,d+c then depending on the character you follow up with a different combo but on burai I did dash foward st.bc xx dp+c xx hcf+c. Also you can squeeze out some more damage by doing st.b, cr.c jump abcc xx dp+c xx hcf+c. wooo. Daigo does hella damage.

So i was playing around in story mode and agito did a ranbu super and a follow up to his knife spin, how do i do those?

Actually, I was stumped on this too due to my lack of Japanese, but if you already have the joystick/controller installed, it’s the first button option you pick in the config, not the second. The first is for controllers, the second is for keyboard.

Something like jC > A > B > C > 214C > D~E (far from corner) is the best way I’ve found but it makes you waste damage and a stock.

By the way I don’t think Ren’s command throw is really worth it if you don’t enhance at least once. Unless you get the perfect timing it does less damage than his classic normal throw combo with 1 stock.

Here’s an option select I’ve found to always get decent damage out of command throw even if you miss (but you need 2 stocks for that) :

63214D > (as late as possible) C > D > B > 2C

If you hit the good timing with C then it’s perfect you get real benefits from your stock and nothing else happens.

If you miss your character will boost, do B > 2C then you can go for HJ > jA > jB > jC > land > A > B > C 623B for about 2500 damage. ^^

It is important to note that you can’t boost cancel your command throw if your timing is too early… This is why it is better to hit C too late rather than too early, personally this really helped me to get the right timing more consistently, I get it about 75% of the time for now.

Disregard my previous, sleep deprivation is getting to my head.

so where are the match vids?

Eh, uh, HF Blade? Could you post the combos you pulled off in your Senna vid either in this topic or on thw wiki? T’would help a bunch.

Sure I can do that. I was planning on testing them out again if they still work. Who’s a good character to use for the training dummy to get a rough estimate of how much damage a combo does?

Either Rouga or Ren. They seem to have average defense.

I’m making more Kunagi combo vids since she is my best char :lovin: 2nd best is nakanishi sisters hehe
