I think the Saul/Mike team up is probably one of the most hyped up things I can think of waiting for on TV in recent memory, their interactions have so far been awesome and they are both on their own great characters.
There has to be some small group of people out there seriously considering some of these scams.
My dumb ass is confused on how the Rolex scam worked. Can someone explain?
likely the rolex was a fake, so homeboy shelled out $500+ of his own money to get the “rolex”
The con is set up so the guy duped thinks he’s actually the one scamming Jimmy. He gave up a total of $1,580 for a watch that’s supposedly a Rolex. I’m not sure the average price of a Rolex, but I think the cheapest are at least $5,000 and can go $50,000 or more. To him, it’s a great deal. But since the watch is a fake, he spent 580 for a cheap knock off.
Obviously we saw what happens when the scam works. But it’s super ballsy in my opinion. First off, the guy has to have enough money to make it work. Even knock offs can be pretty expensive. I don’t know how many people have hundreds in their wallet. Maybe they did back in the day since credit cards weren’t so commonplace. Secondly, if the guy scammed didn’t care so much for the watch, that means they would lose their original $1,000 they used in the wallet.
I’m pretty sure those 1k are fake as well.
Wow that movie title perfectly fits the gif.
Ohhh yeahh Chandler, put it in meeee. I want it alllllll
I think Saul could have talked the first guy into giving him 500k in US dollars if he gave it a bit more thought. Good episode. Next week looks like it’s going to be a doozy.
Yeah we’re finally digging into that Mike backstory everyone’s been wondering about for years.
would pay good money for tony the toilet buddy
I lost my shit when that fucker gave Saul the Bison dollars.
I kind of wish the whole episode was just him going around and sifting through weirdos.
Damn episode was a split between Chuck backstory, Saul filler nonsense then shamefully 5 mins of Mike, am hoping he gets a lot more screen time.
Sex toilet…James Chen would be proud.
I was worried they were going to show the Half Measures scene as it happened when I saw that frantic women stop near Mike. Rather use my imagination from the speech.
Sure are a lot of black cops in ABQ all of a sudden, even from out-of-state lol
I didn’t feel like Jimmy sifting through weird/less than ideal clients was filler. I mean in the end it serves as more reason for him to become a CRIMINAL lawyer. The way of him and Mike becoming associates as well as Mike’s background will be interesting to watch for the episodes to come.
I wonder what season Jimmy is going to take up the Saul Goodman name for his law practices.
The half measures scene was from when he was a cop, not his current self. That was his daughter who obviously has a restraining order against him.
Random, but we’re hosting a forum mafia game on Jesus Toast Mafia, and its breaking bad themed (around basically season 4 events). If anybody is interested in playing, PM me and I’ll send you a link to the game. It starts next week, should be fun
heres some examples of the roles:
That porn toilet scene had me laughing all night. Brilliant stuff, I was laughing for the rest of the night on that scene alone. It’s funny how Better Call Saul has a drama (dramedy) vibe but brings the funny better than most sitcoms.
I also like the relationship he has with his gal pal, their relationship feels genuine, which makes me wonder what the hell went wrong? Why is she missing from the Breaking Bad storyline?
She dies ofcourse.
pretty much everyone around him is dead by the time he is in BB.
