Best Ultimate Tech Talk Hang Out Loud Edition Season V

Hmm, where would one go to type up and in-depth review on the Hori EX2 pad?
As someone who has used MS pad and fightpad and hated both, I’d like to share my thoughts on a controller that downright shits on both of em.

Also got to use a HRAP V3-SA today. Hate the shit out of it. Total effin downgrade from the already great HRAP series. I usually want sticks for ownership reasons, but this is one I’ll definitely pass on.

Just start scrolling through Alibaba or chinese manufacturing websites. Only way you’ll find stuff like that.

:wow:

The meshballs (not widely available in Japan), briar and strawberry balls have obviously been released before, but what about the others? Does anyone know? Are those stone balls?!

OMG! I want those!

The metallics in that pic look sexy

I just bought a Seimitsu LS-32-01 with a Navy Blue ball top & 3x PS-14-G Navy Blue.

Finally going to get my own dedicated shmup stick, and my first Seimitsu.

Anyone like Saturn converters as much as I do? I have one more black PC Magic Box I couldn’t find. I’m sure it’s stashed in storage somewhere. The Xbox Magic Box are the biggest pain in the ass to get.

Hmm, might be needing one of those since I’m considering getting an HSS-0136.

Reminds me of Baoding Balls.

It’s a miracle, I actually got my hands on some real vinyl dye! From an offline store. Excellent.

And some automotive paint for my SE metal place. should turn out great

Out of curiosity, would switching from Sanwa to Seimitsu buttons be a bad idea if my only reason was the fact that they have cooler looking buttons?

I mean I’m perfectly happy with my TE stick (with Sanwa buttons), but I can’t help but sometimes get tempted to replace the buttons with something that looks (at least to me) cooler.

It’s never a bad idea to try new things. The differences in how they feel are pretty slight, they’re both good quality buttons, and swapping them in or back out is pretty easy. So if you’re willing to lay out the money for the new buttons to try, there’s no reason not to. If the cooler look is worth the cost of the buttons, go to town.

Yikes! I’d have gone the project box route long ago!

I woulda gone for both! FGWidget converter in project boxes! Yeah!

Went and switched to Seimitsus for the same exact reason, and haven’t really been able to look back since.

To be real though, it always preference. If you feel like you want something cooler, then go with it, change doesn’t hurt (usually). Sanwas and Seimitsus are almost the same, and they are both really high quality. I’d say go for it, in my opinion, it’ll be worth your time.

Why oh why are sixaxis sticks still selling for $40 at GameStop? I’ve got to find a better source for these things, I tell you

Now to figure out what to put in this QCF case I finished staining and polishing over the weekend. I’m thinking about finally wiring up the SMD DualStrike I’ve got, Just don’t know if I want to Sanwa or Seimitsu the case out.

Even more pitiful, I’m thinking about working on the Paegwan/Datel/Joytron case I have. I installed some Crown buttons and may do the JLF mod. But I need to put a dual strike in that, since I gutted the pcb for one of my other projects. Pittiful, I tell you

^^ ebay?

Can anyone recommend me somewhere that I can get an SE template printed and cut? its the second worst thing about working with an SE (the first is how little space you have in the damn thing.). I’m turning this into a Christmas present for my little brother, so I really want this to look good… Gameongrafix? Or could I possibly go to a local print shop? (I wonder if they’d cut it though…)

For the absolute best quality go for gameongrafix.

Will they cut it out? I don’t trust that I’ll be able to do a professional job on it…
