Yes its possible. I’ve done one already and I’m sure others have as well.
we need jdm
Yes. Yes we do.
I’ll be getting my secret santa stuff out today, or tomorrow. its hard to tell when I’ll be able to get out to the post office means I have no car :[
okay… painting with a spry can in COLD weather sucks ass! sigh… more sanding…
Double up on that :u:
Did you get a run or wrinkle?
both =[ so damn annoying lol
guess I’m gonna have to paint in the garage again.
If you have an old box fan you could flip it around and put an ac filter in front of it to catch some of the excess spray so it’s not floating around in the garage(it’s what I have to do in the winter months here).
yea man I’m prolly going to rig something up today. its getting windy again over here in cali as well… not paint friendly at all. not used to it getting so damn cold in southern cali. got to 38 degrees this morning. didnt think about it when i started to spray around 9am.
It’s a 360, of course it will break down later. Lamp-ish inclinations or not.
Hori’s are common ground, so it should be pretty doable.
Hah. As it ends up, true self-aware machines won’t actually take over the world. They just want to be other objects.
That’s how we know we’ve created real AI.
Oh, and your 360 will misunderstand what you say, get pissed off at you for 3 weeks, and not actually ever explain why it’s pissed.
You have the tools, make it broken yourself!
Speaking of 360s, I “fixed” mine today. And by that I mean I returned it to Target because I remembered its a 90 day return policy.
I also fixed two DS Lite fuse issues, and have almost gotten a dead disc drive on an Xbox (Not 360) to work. Very productive day
So, you need something like these?

They say not for sale, but depending on who’s working, I can get them to sell to me. One manager wants to collect all of them across the wall of the shop. The other will sell me whatever, as long as I pay. I almost want to look into fixing these. Mebbe.
Also while you’re waiting for the 360 to realize its destiny you could whip up a SNES controller flashlight.
you’ve been hanging around Hakdizzle’s house again?
I could use one of those that have a working disc drive. My roommate’s other 360 works fine except for its disc drive. Odd thing though was I tried using the working drive off of the e74 xbox and use it on the other working 360, but it wouldn’t work on that system.
Please do not destroy original US SNES controllers. They’re hard to come by these days, and it’s probably worth the effort to fix the electronics.
Wacky. One of them has a good disc drive. Just by law of averages. Microsoft isn’t that terrible. And then you can have your lamp :wgrin:
I’ll be making the lamp from the shell of the non working disc drive. If I ever do come across a replacement drive for it then I’ll just have a working 360 w/o its shell.
