Would it be possible to have the Arc-Eye do something…i don’t know flashy…or evil if i inputted a raging demon?
No, unless you can convince toodle’s to make you a custom firmware for his LED controller boards.
Personally, I love how up until that video was posted, no one complained about the lag.
It’s the Wile E. Coyote Principle: You never notice that you’ve walked off the cliff until you look down.
That, and I’ve said it before… people will make any excuse possible to explain why they don’t suck.
anyone with an american visa? It’s just 40 dollars. Will send paypal. I even have an american address you can put for the shiping address.
I’m now the owner of a Sega Virtua stick high grade (M revision).
Question is what should I do with it? Sell it as is or mod it and then sell it? Keep it for myself and make it my MC/RJ45 modded stick?
Keep it
Can you mod it? Yes you can.
I wasn’t really active at the time, but wasn’t there something similar with CCC2? FWIW the amount of lag may be negligible.
I’m starting to think that instead of trying to replace the existing distribution block in the TE/SE’s with the same QD tabs that they currently plug into, it might be better to instead use header connector so that the LED and signal wires are on a single connector, one for each button. If I could find an easy/reliable way to secure it to the underside of the metal panel, it’d be sooooo much cleaner to work with. Only thing connecting the top panel to the main case would be the JLF harness, and the two ribbon cables from the buttons. The wires from the distribution/LED board could be shorter and less of a pain to shove into the case. The end result would be tons cleaner, but would require a little more (solderless) work to install.
EDIT: A-ha. It would be cleaner to mount it to the metal, but it doing that doesn’t change the board or layout; just design for the bottom part, and let the smart folks secure it to the metal.
Good idea. Test it out.
Fun fact: I once glued a closed tube of super glue to my hand. I still have no idea how the hell that was even possible.
I bought a lot of PSX RPGs today. They’re pretty much all minty. Too bad I don’t like RPGS. They’ll probably end up on the Trading Outlet for Christmas cash.
Breath of Fire III
Breath of Fire IV
Chrono Cross w/Strategy Guide
Legend of Mana
Grandia
Harvest Moon Back to Nature
Final Fantasy Tactics
Also Street Fighter Alpha in a long box.
For the love of god, at least play Grandia and Final Fantasy Tactics.
Scratch that, play all of them.
Are you trying to restart the solder vs. glue discussion?
TOOOOOOODLESSSSSSS…

Thanks for making the LED controller board <3
sweet glad you like it.
Did you connect the inputs to the buttons? I’d be really afraid of someone accidentally changing modes or hitting the reset or tournament mode combinations on power up.
Yeah I connected the inputs to the buttons. There’s no way around that is there?
Wow, that’s crazyness. On both accounts.
I only saw the screen saver. If you’re wanting one of the other modes when pressed and the screen saver, connect the buttons to strong, fierce, 4p, and forward, roundhouse, 4k and set it to 8 button mode. With no connection to short or jab, then no on power up commands, and no setup menu. There will be the slight delay with no lights when the screensaver would normally be at short or jab, but that’s it.
If you only want the screensaver all of the time, then there’s no need to hook up the inputs at all once the configuration is set how you’d like.
