Before I tell you what “I WOULD DO”, i’m not an expert on anything, this is just what I would do. I can wire a PCB cleanly to the ports, and that’s about it. I have tried something similar, but not quite the same.
OK i seriously doubt you can house everything inside an agetec, but I’ve never seen the inside of one.
If housing them inside is a problem, the only other option i can think of it housing them outside in a project box. You can wire up all the buttons, the ground, and the stick to a male db-15 parallel port (you can also do female, but you’re choice.) Make sure the wire is long enough to stick out of the case with some slack so you can connect the other systems. You can then protect your wiring with a parallel port “hood” which is that grey casing you see in my pic. You can also insulate the wires to protect it, and make it look neater. Make sure there’s something inside so the wires can’t be pulled on, like a rubber stop, then just stick the wires out the existing hole.
On the other side, you’ll need the opposite port wired up to the PCB. With a project box, if you have a dremel tool, you can route out a slot for the parallel port to fit through the box, and have everything neat inside, so once you close it, you just see the box, the port, and the controller plug.
After all your wiring is done, just plug and play. Make sure the PCB is not plugged in when you unplug the ports, otherwise it could fry something, especially the DC.

Here’s a few pictures that might help you hopefully.
Notice on the rest of the website, he just has the port on his stick mounted. I have tried this myself, and it’s not a good idea because that little port has to support the entire project box, so you’ll need support. Plus the agetec is too small anyways, and once you mod it, you can never change it.
Anyways People feel free to add suggestions and crap. Like i said, this would be something I would do, but i dunno if you would like to try it yourself. If you want more help i guess you can ask and i’ll try to help. Good luck.
Err, why? He has no interest in PSX support, so you know everything he uses will be +5v systems. Throw the USB pcb and/or (yes, you can do the follow with DC+USB+Xbox if you want, even DC+USB+SNES or whatever, as long as they are +5v pcbs) Xbox pcb in the case, wire all the buttons together, wire start together, and wire all of the +5v power lines together, with a diode in between. Here’s the explanation from an old Shin Ace post:
viola, one agetec, two cords coming out the back, no switches no nothing, just plug in an go.
Edit: Supplies needed:
1 Complete Agetec
2 Pcb froma USB gamepad, like your Saitek 150
3 2x diodes. Paypal me a $1 and I’ll mail a pair to ya if you cant scrounge up a pair. Radio shack has them for only a couple bucks for more than youll ever need.
4 someway to attach the USB pcb instide the stick (fasteners, hotglue, whatever)
5 Soldering iron and solder.
6 dremel or knife, for making a hole for the USB cable to go out, and cut any plastic away you need to so the usb pcb will fit.
Hey like i said, i’m not an expert with electronics. I just know what i need to know about basic wiring of pcbs. I don’t know anything about diodes or anything, that’s why i put the disclaimer at the top.
i tried modding my Ps to xbox converter like the one at metkumods. the driver obliterated my computer. it won’t boot windows now.
…Wow. O_O
I’m sorry. I’ve never heard of XBCD wrecking a PC before…
i guess it’s my fault though. i probably should’ve put some kind of analog controller on it before trying to use it on a PC with a stick.
