Best sega saturn games?

WTF dude I played this two nights ago. I bought the game about a year ago and never got a chance to play it until now. It’s okay but the intro/artwork sucks and it’s got a lot of text (all in Japanese). From what I can tell it’s a game where you select missions and try to get a better score/rank in each mission. Doesn’t have much of an action/adventure feel to it when you’re just picking mission-to-mission and trying to improve your rank. On the bright side it’s a pretty good looking game with great sound and decent gameplay.

It’s related to Cybernator, the SNES game. One of my Top 10.

All of the greats have already been mentioned. But just for emphasis, definitely play Panzer Dragoon Saga if you can afford it.

I just dug through my copy of Retro Gamer magazine which has their list of the ten must-play Saturn games. Thought it would qualify as an expert opinion.

01 - Nights Into Dreams
"It’s difficult choosing just one of Sonic Team’s Saturn titles, and we debated endlessly over this or Burning Rangers, but as NiGHTs is so unlike anything else, and came out first, it had to go in."

02 - Saturn Bomberman
"Every single post-Saturn iteration of the franchise generates the question: is it as good as Saturn Bomberman? None are."

03 - Guardian Heroes
"No other system at the time could do 2D like the Saturn could, and the game exemplifying this was Guardian Heroes."

04 - Shining Force III
"The Shining series has always been a favorite among Sega stalwarts."

05 - Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei
"…Zwei is such as different experience, it’s worth including."

06 - Sega Rally Championship
"Sega Rally might have only had three cars and four circuits, but thanks to its endless time attack options we’re still struggling to put it down."

07 - Virtua Fighter 2
"While the Saturn didn’t lack decent 3D fighters, none of them could hold a candle to VF2."

08 - Virtua Cop
"Prior to Virtua Cop, the light gun game had been stuck in the doldrums. However, Yu Suzuki’s AM2 team saw the chance to revive it in 1994, and thus Virtua Cop was born."

09 - Radiant Silvergun
"There’s a host of shoot-'em-ups on the Saturn, and while it’s somewhat predictable that we’ve plumped for Treasure’s opus, it so deserves to be here."

10 - Street Fighter Zero 3
"Until very recently, it was the finest conversion of the game to appear on a home machine."

I think it’ll be fine to be honest. IMO, collector’s appeal plays a large part in buying something like Silvergun. Sure, the majority of people buying it intend on playing and enjoying the game, but there’s more to it than just liking the game. Most folks would never spend ~$200 on something like that.

XBLA version will release and allow the latter to simply play the game; I can’t imagine the physical copy becoming any less of a prize, especially to the kind of people that would have bought it anyway pre-XBLA.

I know I’ll end up with a physical copy some day, but my money is tight enough as is, so XBLA will have to do for now.

Astal!

I play Sega Saturn games for a while and for now my favorite game is Sega Rally Championship after this game when I will finish it I want to start playing the Galactic Atack.

Why the fuck did you bump an almost 10 year old thread?

Searching for old retro games , i love them and i play them like a little child. I found this theme on the search bar and i did not see how old it’s only commented.

Pay Stuart no mind. He’s clinically retarded and always looking for a fight.

As for the Sega Saturn:

Panzer Dragoon trilogy
The various Sega 3D fighters (VF, Megamix, etc)
Sega Racers
The Lightgun shooters
Die Hard Arcade
Bulk Slash
Burning Rangers
N!ghts
Guardian Force (badass shooter!)
Radiant Silvergun
Deep Fear
Enemy Zero
Etc.

I could go on and on. The Sega Saturn is my all-time favorite game system!
