Smash and Dookie are still two of my favourite albums of all time. Can’t believe I was in grade 5. That was semi-punk, right? lol

For any of you growing up in the 90s in LA, basically all songs on KROQ is the shit: Green Day, No Doubt, Sublime, Pennywise, Blink 182, The Offspring, Bad Religion, etc. Id be ok putting these bands in the “skate punk” category.
I really like the ska punk sound from bands like Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris and DHC.
Suicidal Tendencies is pretty awesome as well, their ‘crossover thrash’ sound always takes me back in time to the early 90s and their shows are always badass. Tiger Army and AFI are pretty great too, old and new, I dont care.
But I think my #1 favorite punk band are The Misfits. Basically every song is awesome and they got a bunch of em!
