My list is more based on how much the player brings out of the character rather than their win percentage since the best player of a character isn’t necessarily the player who wins the most due to difference in fundamentals and such. I also put more than one on most of them because I’m indecisive.

My list is not necessarily based off tournament players/performances; I also consider the originality and innovation with the characters, and if a players style suits my preference lol. I also considered whether a player still mains the character in Ultimate. But I may not have included some characters I didn’t feel have a significant presence in tournaments etc. (and in most cases I just posted the first youtube video I found lol)

Fanatiq is the epitomy of Magneto; however I prefer the way Liquidmetal uses him. I decided to go off who I liked, because if we were to quantify who the best was based on ‘objectivity’ rather than opinions, in the case of Magneto I could argue that Filipino Champ is the best as he does better than Fanatiq at majors (though we all know it’s really because of Phoenix lol).
I, too, think Marlinpie’s Doom is beautiful. I don’t really think Clock or Dios are better than him with doom… maybe Marlin’s is just flashier. Marlin’s Ammy is fantastic and has legitimate comebacks with her. Clock’s Ammy is okay and there was another player with Ammy, but I can’t remember his name. F Champ does have the best Phoenix right now. I would put Josh Wong’s Wesker over Viscant’s and his Taskmaster might edge out DJ H’s. DJ does have the best Felicia and Skrull I have seen. Combo probably has the best Nova and Spencer and possibly Hawkeye. I’ve never seen anyone outplay Abegen’s Thor, Tron or She-Hulk.
ABEGEN is by far my favorite player at the moment. I didn’t think I’d have to say this ever but I feel as if more people should know about this dood. As Emil pointed out earlier, ABEGEN is easily the best of all the characters that he uses.

On the subject of Doom, MarlinPie is definitely the flashiest Doom but Clock takes it over Marlin because I don’t think I’ve seen any other Doom as mobile as Clock’s.
i’ll only list characters where there’s more than 1 player in the running for “best”…
i think LLND has a better Ammy than MarlinPie
LLND also has the best Chris
Royal Flush has the best MODOK
Noel Brown best Wolvie
Knives best Spencer
Fanatiq has the best Storm and Sentinel (Ray-Ray’s movement with Sent is amazing, but he never really gets the job done)
Chuck Predator best Haggar, although i question his combo choices sometimes (like following up an air pipe with a 2nd air pipe instead of launching)
Viscant was the best Wesker, but nowadays i have no idea. anyone can be amazing with Wesker. I guess Wentinel is up there cause he’s one of the few who plays him on point.

Chris G best Morrigan (sorry Dieminion)
Tatsu best X-23
Infrit best Nova (he can do everything Combofiend does, plus some extra sweet tech, like the incoming crossup tricks)
On the subject of best Frank West, I have to say I really like what Combofiend did with him at Fight for Youth…the pressure is a lot better than Kusoru’s(Kusoru uses zombie throw very sparingly…maybe it’s very punishable and Americans don’t know about it, not sure about this), but I think Kusoru just has more knowledge and game sense overall than Combofiend’s.
At the same time though Combofiend’s team is designed to get a lvl4-5 frank west easy if he lands a combo with Nova, while Kusoru’s usually gets to lvl3 from the first combo.
I really don’t think a best Akuma can be named at this point. I mean, you could show me Akuma play by JWong/Knives/whoever you want to show me, and it would look the same to me. Maybe some get hits more because they’re clutch, or they do longer combos, but I can’t tell X Akuma player apart from Y Akuma player.
