Dammit. LOL Actually Alpha Kid plays an excellent Ken, as well as a number of other active, SRK players: Titanarch, Edge just to name a couple off the top of my head.
I’ve played him and he’s decent, but IMO T3R puts more caution into my game. TrueoldSchool had the overall best Dictator, but he’s mostly on XBL these days (so I hear).
Well, I haven’t played Titanarch in a while, so I forgot about him. I haven’t seen Edge in a bit, so I thought he moved on to something else. And Alpha Kid always plays Ryu. I hardly ever see him use Ken.
As far as Dictator goes, TOS did have the best dictator, but he’s on xbl now iirc. ThePhantomBaron is okay at best, and compared to T3R, T3R is more aggressive, and execution is crisper than TPB imo.

Not hard to forget me… I’m pretty mediocre with Ken, and I think he’s my best character. For Ken, I’d nominate Coth_X.

havok_k6 for best honda in the universe! not a bully in the least with his simple tactic of jumping back with a punch and walking backwards forever and doing a headbutt and HHS! he’s just pure awesome and not at all a reason for why i stopped playing sfhdr as much (nyoro~n). it’s almost as fun as playing against that one guy’s fireball-sweep-my-cammy ken! in fact, i don’t only vote him for best honda, but president of the world
congratulations for the backbone team’s coding of this game too which helped make me and my (other non-sfhdr-fan) friends rather disenfranchised with sf in general

WRONG!.. you haven’t fight agaisnt Coth_X, Serious_Sam, Titan Arch, Suken19, Dota_wickedsick and they say that blitzfu is a beast.
There’s a lot of ken scrubs around PSN, but quantity isn’t quality and trust me, these Ken players listed by me are tough.
One thing skewed about Reign’s scrubby logic is that he won’t recognize any Ken that uses tick throws, which for Ken, happens to be one of his best tactics. With the rebalanced aspect of HDR, Ken has the best tick throw in the game, which is the j.lp-Air.TSK, walk-forward throw (rinse and repeat with the MK throw). Add in mix-ups with the fact that Ken can walk under most characters after his MK throw, and you’ve got a tick-throwing beast.
One of the reasons Reign’s Blanka seems good is his ‘mix-ups’… Where you’d normally expect a tick-throw, he does MP, hop, MP instead and it can throw you off. But since it’s against his religion to tick-throw, his game quickly falls apart.
That’s why I rate STR8Crazy’s Blanka above his.
You know what, I’m really getting sick and tired of you getting on my ass because of my opinion about the whole tick throwing game. If I don’t need to use ticks to win, why should I use them? There are other ways to win besides ticking, but you don’t see it that way. And because I rather focus my game on something else besides ticking, does NOT make me a scrub.
But you know what? There are a lot of people who would disagree with you greatly about me and my “scrubby logic” as you put it, so to hell what you got to say about me. I don’t see your name on this best of list, and don’t expect to see it either. But if you think you can beat this scrub, feel free to try.
Philcito, I have played against Coth_X, Serious_Sam, Titanarch, Suken19, and Dota_wikedsick. Serious_Sam doesn’t really play Ken against me, Suken19 usually uses Ryu, Dota_wickedsick use a lot of chars pretty effectively, and Coth_X’s Ken is not as good as Blitzfu’s. The reason I didn’t put Blitzfu as best Ken is because he’s been inactive on hdr. Otherwise, there would be no question.
Well the other day that we played I had more trouble with reign’s blanka than str8crazy. Both are great blanka’s in their own way. Only time i’ve ever felt like i’ve gotten out played in a blanka vs blanka match in hdremix was against djreign. I normally win those match up’s for free.
Is this the tick throw thread or the best of thread?
P.S. I do agree that ticks would up your offense quite a bit, reign but thats on you.
No doubt that djreign has one of the best Blankas I’ve played. And coming from Shinblanka, one of the best Blankas that I HAVEN’T played in a long, long time, that’s quite a statement. And Halfro’s correct reign, if your Blanka is that sick without tick throw setups, he’d be godly with them. Just saying…
And I never got hatemail from reign about my tick throws, EVER.
Sam is a very good Ken player, and Su, you haven’t plated recently against him as far as i know, because now he’s using Ken, Dota has a great Ken, owning some akuma scrubs a few days ago and beasting a room is enough proof that Dota is a good ken player, it doesn’t matter if he likes to use a lot of chars.
By the way, what’s wrong with tick throws?, i don’t use it often, but is part of my strategy, any strategy is good in a fighting game, unless you’re using lag switch and/or akuma of course.
Don’t complaint about a specific move, come on!, it’s just part of the game, if you can’t scape from a tick throw, a spamming move, , then you’re not good enough for SSFIIT.
