Actually to think about it now, if someone haven’t bought a gaming laptop soon they could wait a till the Ryzen laptops roll out.
Even if you want to go with Intel instead of AMD Intel still might drop the prices on their processors in response.
Interesting. Has Intel ever dropped prices to compete with AMD in the past? I thought Intel considers them small fries. Based on the difference in size of their HQ’s it seems as such.
I remember they were quite competitive in the late 90s/early 2000s. The K6/Athlon XP/Athlon 64s were serious contenders at the time and I preferred them to Intel’s offerings. Things started to diverge more when the Intel Core/Core 2s came out though, the gap widened and that’s why I personally lost interest in AMD.
