Well, I’m not an expert, but I always felt the DC was closer to the CPS-2 than the PS and so globally better, and especially for tourneys. This being said, I’m not an alpha 3 expert, my personal ST alpha fav’ being the zero 2 alpha… on cps-2 only.
So you might be right. But I still have high doubts.
The buys you’ve made so far are great, but you should definitely track down Mark of the Wolves. Pretty graphics, good gameplay, small but knowledgeable community. It’s worth your time and cash.
I guess you must have missed it, but these are the games I already own(listed in my first post, and not couting what I just bought): Mark of the Wolves, Virtua Fighter 3tb, Soul Calibur, Power Stone, Dead or Alive 2, and Project Justice.
Most of the games I like have been mentioned already. Some goodies are Heavy Metal Geomatrix and Spawn. The last 2 are not traditional fighters (especially Spawn) but they have fun versus modes for messing around, kick Ass graphics and music too. Heavy Metal has songs from a bunch of Heavy Metal Bands, and Spawn’s beginning and ending songs are great. “Terrible pieces! Beautiful lies! Rip it up! Rip in to you! Dawn of the terrifiesd!” Freaking hardcore, lol!
I thought the saturn version of A3 was the superiour?
Yeah the best ones have already been mentioned, but one that was less so is KoF02, definatly worth the buy.
Can I recommend some shooters? Mars Matrix, Giga Wing and Radiant Silvergun are all great fun to play.
CvS2 looks way better on DC. The sprites are bigger on the PS2 so how they look better is beyond me. The X-Box and GC versions are just cut and paste jobs so that rules them out completely.
Suposedly the other console versions of MvC2 aren’t quite the same speed as the arcade, where as the DC version is. Apart from that the sound and graphics are far better on DC.
Last Blade 2 and MOTW were both pretty good ports, although some people complained about LB2’s, let’s face it-how many people are playing it on the neo to begin with?
Foxtrot Tango Whisky !
and damn fucking SLOW on DC ! Still I’ll forgive you if you don’t own a ps2 or a neo… but the speed ruins the fun, not worth the cash you’ll be spending, except if it’s not technically your cash or something…
Is that a reason to support ports running like 50Hz PAL shit? Plus, there ARE people with neos out there, of course it’s a minority (given the price) but let me tell you : I’d rather emulate LB2 or Garou than play them on DC.
Anyway it’s your cash, go spend it the way you like, just don’t come tell me that Garou, LB2 and most SNK games are perfect ports cause it’s not true and fills me with hate:arazz:
Street Fighter Alpha 3 is the ebst fighter on Dreamcast, and the world! Yes, the Saturn version is better, but it also costs about $100…
Gunbird 2 and Cannon Spike are fun too but not that deep. Neat for the Capcom character cameos though. :lovin:
Lol, RS on DC…
Well, STX is just what it is: ST. Although its not arcade perfect. But still worth having just for collective puproses. Also great for impressing friends.
In other words, no.
I co-sign (bad Ikaruga mistake )
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Guilty Gear X
CvS2
TECH ROMANCER!! YES! they need to make this into a series! I want to see the continuing adventures of junpei and G-Kaiser, plus it had jin, and jins badass. “BLODIA KIIIIICK!!”
I own a Neo Geo and King of Fighters 98,99,2k,2k1 and used to own Mark of the Wolves. I would say Last Blade 2 seemed like something was missing, the one time I played it on Neo Geo but Mark of the Wolves and the KOF games seemed about the same. MOTW had the voice issue and the graphics were a little bigger, but it played the same to me. If it was slower I would go 5% at best, but I will mess w/ KOF 2k1 and '99 (games I still have on both DC and Neo Geo) to see if I see a differance other the graphics.
Sorta off topic, but…
For JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which is the “better” version? DC or Jap PS2?
I think ur thinkin of 2 dif games.
The CPSIII, 2d game came out for DC and PS1. DC version superior but PS1 had alot of cool extras.
JoJo’s on the PS2 was a 3d fighter.
I’m like 90% sure the 2d JoJo’s never came to ps2…
Capcom should make like a Jojo collection for PS2 that would be great, its coo though cause I have Jojo for the DC. Glad to see everyone interested in all the different fighters out for the DC. The DC is truly a work of art as far as fighters go, even though the PS2 is catching up a bit now with most of the new releases. Either way I have both so its all good…take care.
