Falco is my main and I prefer Wiimote and Chuck, dpad on wiimote as c-stick. I think aerials are easier if jump is on the other side and gatling is much easier with w+c.
Since I played shit-tons of melee, I find the Game Cube controller (Original Purple, no wavebirds!) to be the most comfortable for me. I used the classic controller a lot too, since all my GC controllers are broken 
Anyone try using a stick? 
The TvC stick links to the Dpad so when you try to move you’ll just taunt a lot.
