New event posted!!! Check the first post

Shit. Posted the wrong date. My bad. Will update in a few minutes

Fixed. The event will be on June 4th. That’s only 2 weeks away so get ready!!!

Hey Guys,

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition comes out on June 7th! In addition to throwing a release party, we are throwing a tournament (Best Bout Beatdown II) Saturday June 11th for SSFIV and MVC3. The original date was going to be June 4th, but with the release of AE only a few days later, it would be best to wait for a week and compete in the new game! We realize there will be an event in Seattle the same weekend, but as new games are released, there is bound to be overlap sometimes :(. We will be running an ad in paper as well as distributing flyers for this event to ensure a huge turnout. Prepare for Portland’s biggest tournament yet!

Also…if there are plans for a big tournament IN A SMALL AREA OF LITTLE VENTILATION…I propose a Deodorant/Shower before coming policy be enforced.

This man is a genius.

AE is finally so close, really looking forward to playing the most current sf4.

Team Yun let’s go!!! Fools bout to get bodied by that Chinese goon…

yun easy mode…i’ll use him cuz i dont want to try against people who still mash in this game even though sf4 is like 3 years old

I can understand the drive to want to host an event for the release party of AE, but holding it the same day as SRB is hella limiting. You know I’d love to attend both, and normally would, but now I can’t. Sucks.

But, again, I understand that it happens. I just wish I didn’t fall on the same days… :confused:

should be fun, the first tournament since AE DLC hit. wonder how many yuns will be in top 3

Ggs to everyone! I had a goodtime. I am a bit disappointed I got blown up so hard in marvel. I need too make smarter assist calls so I don’t lose half my team so often! 5th with ONI who is relatively unknown ain’t so bad!

Yeah that was a lot of fun for sure. Props to the people who played new characters. Y, it was fun sending you to losers. Why did you have to come back? BBH, it occurred to me that I have only ever played your Bison sporadically. More game son ; ) I liked the Marvel BBFH/fatbear salty runback, had to cheer for that. Been a great couple of days, see you guys at the next one. Here is top 3 results, will have full top eight up soon with more event breakdown.

SSF4 AE

  1. BBH
  2. Fatbear
  3. Pdx_jive

Marvel:

  1. BBH
  2. 1Truking
  3. Fatbear

We had a fairly long set not too long ago, didn’t we? But… yeah on the rare occasion that I’m playing SF4 in casual sessions, I’m usually not playing Bison anyway unless I’m in salty asshole mode, so yeah

This tournament was so hype in so many ways. Lots of really close matches, upsets, and hella epic commentary! Jeff and M0lk are GDLK!!! Watching the mix ups of fatbear’s Yun and Ross’s Oni was also fun. BBH you better be get into salty asshole mode more often cuz you have alot of targets on your back now lol. Can’t wait for the next one. Tomorrow will not be a regular Throwdown Tuesday. There will be a surprise for everyone who attends. See you guys there!

@Matt
Yeah, those matches were fun. Thought I had a grasp on Bison after that but guess it wasn’t enough. BB f’in H!!!

@Angel
Team Gouki might have just turned into team Yun. The more I learn about that character the more ridiculous he gets. Yang isn’t far off either. Team Rushdown vs. Team Shoto?
