How about some ST tourneys?

As cool as the recent ST revival has been, I’m not sure we have THAT many players that would want to enter tournaments. Besides, unless some Seattle people come down, we’d be practically guaranteed top 2 ;o
But hey, KOF got a miserable 5-man turnout at this last tournament, so whatever.
I’m still salty that Raiden Fighters Aces deletes scores from their online leaderboards after they’ve been there for a year. Can you believe that shit? Nobody can see my awesome Raiden Fighters Jet score anymore. Granted, I think it did get beat by at least two other people… but it’s not like I can actually check the leaderboard for that now! Such a fantastic port but such a weird decision on a game where they definitely wanted score competition.

Update! We have moved Best Bout Beatdown 13 one week back to Saturday the 23rd. Take note, and see you there!
Well, dammit. Any particular reason why? I was banking on that tourney being on the 16th but I can’t make the 23rd at all.
A lot of people were in finals or graduation that weekend. Since we moved it a lot more people have confirmed as it is now clear of school stuff.

So I’m planning on coming this Sat but I only have a PS3 stick. Can I reasonably assume there will be an 8-gate 360 stick for me to use for the AE tourney, or should I find another solution?
I don’t believe anybody uses an Oct gate its all square gates.
Isn’t Angel’s dual-modded stick an octo gate…? Could be wrong on this tho
Unless Angel changed anything from when I modded it, its square.
This is it! One day away people! Looks to be our largest turn out yet, a lot of confirms both in town and out of towners. A couple of things;
-BE THERE EARLY! We can’t stress this enough. There are going to be a lot of people and a lot of events. We want to run on time as much as possible. Please DO NOT show up last minute. If you are going to be late, call one of the Best Bout/Portland people. If you can be there at least an hour before the event (to warm up too!) that will be good. We won’t be able to wait on people when it is a full house and a full schedule. Thanks!
-BRING YOUR OWN STICK/CONTROLLER IF YOU NEED ONE. We have some house sticks, but some are in need of repair and the other ones get snapped up for the tourney pretty quickly. Better to be sure and bring your own light saber. That said, make sure you know where your stuff is AT ALL TIMES, for safety reasons. Best Bout is a small place, but better to be safe than sorry. There will be a lot of people there, so if you have something of value be mindful of it, always a good idea.
