That’s the best advice for basically almost all of Bison’s MUs. Get the life lead, and make them kill themselves. Bison doesn’t have the reward to justify taking any risk. Just lame them out. Bison is based around turtling.
Is it me or does it seem like Rolento can pretty much freely jump all over you and do instant overheads and full screen attack you with moves that are both invincible and safe and dish out half your health in damage by doing said completely safe and invincible things and theres really nothing you can do about it except hope you guess right and he messes up?
Just fought a really good player, idk who it was. I beat his sagat and guile. He was obviously a good, quick player tho. Then he whips out Rolento, who seemed to be his main. All i could do is get instant overheaed, jumped attack on each side within a half second and just block his full screen invincible roll and not punish it.

Oh and I forgot, can punish ex psycho and has a one button near instant AA.
With Rolento the trick is to use all high attacks. S.lk, s.mp, s.hk, etc, and space him well.
Getting th knock down on rolento is important as he has a very vulnerable wake up, everything can be OS’d or reacted to. If you get a few good throws to corner him his option become even easier to punish.
OS roundhouse to beat the flip and chase the wall dive. If he wants to block start the tick throw game.
I got 2 words: **** Elena.
I can’t punish the slide if its spaced since she hops back a tad after the slide animation, most of the standing non-charge combos wiff, and her normals outrange bison’s…
WTF
The part that annoys me is when the Elena is smart and saves that fast as fuck EX overhead for situations where it will actually kill me. Bad Elena players will tag me with it early and I’ll remember to be on my toes, but the good ones always lull me into a false sense of security and get me to downback towards the end.
Lol against Elena is like fight against Zangief
She can heal and playing slow.
You need pressure her.
Has anyone some legit tipps for me against viper? I have problems blocking the crossup burnkicks and her low thunder knuckle beats a lot of bisons stuff.
Burn kicks after knockdown? Focus forward dash. No guessing involved.
Thunder knuckle in neutral or anti air? Whiff punish with st.mk and stay on the ground.
Try to stay just outside of low forward range, if you block her Cr.mk to thunder knuckle just wait, cuz bison cant do much about that pressure unless you make a hard read on what she does next.
When outside of that range you should throw out st.rh/st.mk to deter herp derp burn kicks, then you can sit on a charge and try to whiff punish her other moves. Staggered sk’s work well against viper players, keeps them guessing, and baits out hp thunder knuckle’s/ex ground-pounds.
When mid to full-screen if you see her super-jump bison’s neutral jump:hp (Diamond cutter) works well against her in the air.
Ok, I’m going to try something of this, thx guys! 
Focus did work but some viper players will adjust and will land behind you/me and the focus whiffs and they get a free punish, gotta just forward dash if I absorb a burnkick.
I played a good hakan and I believe that is Bison’s worst matchup. He can just tap step tap tap etc throw or if he connects immediately cancel into slide. Once hes in you’re done. Can punish fullscreen dr, any ex pc attempts, you literally cant do anything.
I’ve played this game since 2008 and a good Hakan can you make anything you do feel pointless. What a stupid character.

Couldn’t agree more. Once he has oil Bison can’t do shit. Just another reason why Bison has a horrible character design. It’s just really bad. I have no idea why they didn’t just stick to the basic ST Bison formula. It works, the design is tried and tested. WTF is wrong with Capcom. Brainhead, just like they think Bison is!!
Ok I need a little help with the Elena matchup.
She has weird hurtboxes and jump angles. Her ex overhead in a blockstring is straight up stupid fast. All Elena players seem is to spam C.LK and into it.
How should I approach this match?
I just get ready for her to use the overhead and either EX PC, or block. She has some unsafe shit somewhere in there. Basically you have to get the life lead and ware her down.
How the fuck do I beat Ibuki? Apparently it’s in Bisons favor but this character makes me so frustrated and it’s a chore trying to lock her down when she can go HAM and make me lose my charge without trying. Granted I win against most online Ibukis but they give me a harder time than they should.¨

I’m no bison expert but generally what I do when I see ibuki online.
In the beginning of the match if they jump up or back dash I’ll take the aggressive approach most people when they do that usually don’t know the bison match up.
After that I try to lock her in the corner with c.mp lk scissors
Take away her vortexes with delay wakeup. You can easily AA her with C.HP, bait her on wakeup and punish. Dont try to jump in on her cause she can easily AA you to the point that its just straight up dumb. Control the ground and make her jump at you.
