It might be just me, but on playing SSF4 this evening for the first time, i thought bison was still garbage. All of the major things i disliked about him in 4 are still there, special moves(especially crusher and stomp) are still worthless unless you use the EX versions, headstomp mixup shenanigans are gone completely because the auto direction change off of a headstomp still doesn’t happen and you still can’t build charge properly while doing an LP skull diver.

I was hoping he’d have been changed more than this. It’s clear that some of his normals have been tweaked, and his new ultra is very good, so good in fact that it will scare the shit out of anybody when he gets it and make them play ultra cautious, but aside from that i think he’s been badly designed compared to his earlier SF2 versions. Shame, because i really wanted to pick him up.

Really? I did it today on a chun during her U2 landed in front of her where the fireball was going off and nailed her with the abortion punch.

I might’ve landed too late or early. Did it against this guy using it desperately across the screen just to see if it worked.

In my case she tried to do it on my wakeup hoping to chip win, didn’t quite go as she planned lol.

Lol just tried Psycho Punisher on Blanka Ultra 1 and it won :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks tight. Doesn’t seem practical if the HP/EX psychos were used. It was used off a combo where it spaced Bison just close enough to get hit. Nobody’s gonna use that. Plus if you blocked it, he’s getting punished.

So, what’s the use of using headstomp, devil reverse, or skull diver? Capcom did not touch these moves at all, and are still bad… :frowning:

how are you guys OSing chun’s backdash? I’ve never been able to get it to work, she recovers too fast for slide to actually hit.

i wasn’t really having a HUGE problem with OSing her shit.

my problem is that if she blocks anything, I can’t hit her with cLK, and she promptly begins to nail me cLK herself, into ex legs, or hazanshu’s, or what not, until I am crying.

Oh and do I even have to bring up how fucking hard it is just to get in remotely close??

Use s.rh as your option select.

So, on her wakeup you can do things like: meaty c.jab, close s.jab ~ s.rh; meaty c.short, s.short ~ s.rh; etc.

Well my usual problems are her back dashing and misplacing my landing so I’m usually pretty much raped via zoning and spacing. Let her backpeddle to the corner and then plan out the attack.

Tick throws and set up the next attack. c.LP, cl s.LP, into throw is like one of my favorite things to do.

oh I see, you’re not doing a safejump, and just going with a meaty jab. Yea it works if I meaty the jab, but I was hoping I could do it off a safejump, say something like j.hp, c.lp~s.hk -> whatever. Too bad if I do a jump, everything either whiffs or get blocked, oh well.

What do i do against chun li’s who spam lp? I can’t seem to do anything about it…

Also what do i do against dhalisms when they spam grab? For example, i do c.lp then do a grab after, and they ALWAYS tech it, so i KNOW they will tech it, what should i do about it?
