"BEST BIPSON!" - Dictator Match-Ups

That’s because there are none. U1 vs Rufus all day. You can AA Rufus jumps with U1 and punish EX Messiahs 100%, no reason not to use it. It makes Rufus think twice.

Against Rufus U2 isn’t the best but they probably went with it simply because its more useful vs a larger variety of characters and situations than NMB is. Not entirely sure if that tourney locks you to a single ultra choice or not.

It doesn’t. Andy switched to U1 later on in the fight with Justin. Much too late though

Hey mang, I’ve been in the lab against ibuki today and trying to figure out the basics of what i can punish. you’ve got it down pretty much, if she does her EX kicks you have a lot of options.

EX Kazegiri on block:

-depending on the angle she throws them, you might be able to dash under her if she does EX kunai followup for a throw or bnb.
-if she does only a single kunai follow up, you can start FA as soon as you leave blockstun and have enough charge to crumple her when she lands. Follow up with st.close fierce xx fierce PC for 268 dmg/450 stun, or if you’ve got her cornered use scissors.
-as you said however, the best and most damaging/stunning combo option is to neutral jump and use nj.roundhouse, cr.mp xx fierce PC for 292 dmg and 490 stun…ouch.
-if you have ultra, like you said you can PP on that ninja slut, but if you have half revenge meter, it might be worth it here to actually save it as a threat and build some meter because half ultra does around 300 damage and you can do that with the above combo plus some chip afterwards.
i don’t think there’s really any benefit to FAing kunais or swatting them except that you can mis-swat and get counter-hit with one for a nice poke’s worth of damage. not worth it imo, i’d just focus, dash and block.

Safejumpg EX kaze is pretty simple, just throw, one cycle of bison’s walk, jump and hit fierce so it hits the TIP of her head, not deep against her abdomen or knees. EX kaze should then whiff. I’m sure you can safe jump it like you would EX SBK or something, but this way is pretty easy. just record bison in training mode throwing and doing the safejump. Do a reversal and see how it works and adjust your timing from there.

Lastly, I’m 99% sure that you can actually ultra punish her Hien, the overhead kicks she does (backwards tiger knee). I set it up in training mode so that I turned it to ‘STAND’ and ‘ALL BLOCK’ when I activated the ultra. The timing however varies depending on whether or not she follows up with a kunai. If she has no follow up, you have only a little bit of time after reversal timing to land it. depending on the strength of the kick I think you want to delay it. I’m assuming most ibukis will follow up with a kunai like 9/10 times (or maybe not…I’ve only played one good ibuki consistently) so you can just buffer and hit three kicks when you see the kunai come out because you want to be landing with her and her kunai attack keeps her in the air a bit longer. Also, and I want someone to double check this and confirm, but I think you can actually punish Hien on HIT…pretty sad if I’m right. if so, it would almost be worth it to crouch and take the hits to give your ultra a little boost. Be wary though, since the timing of the ultra varies depending on the kunai, you could end up missing. Also, EX Hien has massive blockstun and is unpunishable.

I’m also pretty sure that you can punish hien with EX HEADSTOMP on HIT if she follows up with a kunai. I’d say it’s almost a good idea to crouch, take the damage and punish her. Ibuki’s all around will most likely figure this out soon enough and Hien and wakeup EX kaze will become totally useless vs. bison. i don’t think any ibuki will risk it on wakeup when we have such damaging punishes for it and the mediocre damage on hien seems to be outbalanced by the huge potential risk for using it.

I see this matchup turning really really bad for Ibuki once we get used to her shenanigans. funny enough Adon is probably going to be the biggest threat to bison amongst the new additions.

In the Rufus Matchup you can punish EX Messiah-LK ender xx FADC-backdash on block, you can hit him with a s.HK before he can recover, I think I never saw AndyOCR do this in the NCR vids, pretty useful stuff.

I also prefer U1 againt Rufus since EX Messiah gets really risky for him once Bison has meter. However I think U2 can prevent Rufus from building meter with whiffed LP Snake Strikes, you can punish those on whiff if you are actively looking for them.

Grrrr seriously Rog is still my hardest matchup, anyone else feel like they struggle way to hard against Rog? I know what to do but it still seems so tedious and hard to win once they get the life lead and turtle up. I completely crossed this Rog up today and his c.hp still caught me and reset me back in front of him wtf!!

Ugh been a while since I have fought a decent gief, still very very annoying, AA options are worse than normal bad trade or stuffed clean and you can’t really do any dmg to him unless he screws up.

Jump in with hp against Boxer. His cr.hp will miss Bison at a certain angle. You just need to find that sweet spot.

^yeah I need to play with that more in Rog matches for sure now that I think about it, and I need to mixup HS followups and make him guess when to AA me. I have a video of a Rog a lost to in a match today I’m gonna post to show all the shit I did wrong and how maybe get some ideas about how I should handle this match differently.

I take Ultra 1 in that fight because of the damage and it’s ability to punish Ex-Mesiah kick. Only way I can think of gettin Ultra 2 to hit is by punishing them building meter with snake strikes full screen or (as posted above) punishing a whiffed c.Fierce.

Us Bisons need to figure something out to make the Guile match up easier for us >_<

^don’t do what they expect you to do.

play as ibuki

Turtle Guile until you get meter and then when he tries to follow behind his SB EX SK through it and knock him down. then do your best to get another bar before he gets away. Bison with meter>Guile in SSF4. Once you have bar just space the screen so that when you EX PC through his SB it is safe and then apply more pressure.
I would have to say that is my gameplan in a nutshell.

against Ibuki, PP locks down most of her shenanigans (ie Vortex, kunais)

also, if she does her Tsumuji (spin kicks) and tries to switch and hit you down low, IT IS NO LONGER A BLOCK STRING! You can PP punish, or ex PC/SK the little ninja

Hi, need some help against Feilong… How can I punish his chickenwing?

I have a lot problems vs real good feilongs players… not the scrubbs in xboxlive.

I dont know how to punish that chararther…

thx for help

noob question alert:

what’s the best way to keep up pressure after a blocked scissor kick if they keep on jab spamming afterwards? if i want to do another 3 frame startup c.lkxxscissor after a blocked lk. sk, it often trades with their spammed 3 frame jab and the situation is reset.

i think the best thing to do is to keep holding back to get out of their jab range and then wait for an opportunity to just scissor kick them again or do a normal attack like just s.hk since the hitbox seems too high for low jabs to hit (since you stepped back) after they stop jabbing or if they do a slower move, but i’m not sure. the thing is i think the best option seems to depend on the range that you landed the blocked sk. at point blank range blocked scissor kick, you’ll be w/in their jab range and i just dunno what to do. if it’s like one of those scissor kicks where you get pushed out a bit more, you got a bit more space and i think the jab isn’t as good at stopping you.

I usually wait for something and then throw out something. If you’re spaced right, you can jut LK Knee Press again and they can’t it because of range. Waiting, if jabs can reach me, Id block it and let it push me back out so I go for a c.MP xx LK Knee Press or just go for another LK Knee Press to get me back in a little bit.

sank u

Yep I still find it hard fighting Gief also. I end up losing patience with the match and I do silly jump-ins.
