Good shit Capcom, I guess “sometimes” wasn’t enough.
Which is why people love saving xfc for Wesker if he’s anchor. It removes the reasons why he should be a terrible anchor. >_>
I honestly feel that XF3 Wesker isn’t that terrible to lame out. I have a pretty decent success rate laming out Dark Wesker with X-23 + beam assist or just Doom spamming on air photon shots. Especially now that Doom gets another air normal that shuts down most of Wesker’s ground fish shit.
It’s just his welcome mix ups are so gdlk you’ll probably end up dying before any of your characters come out unless you get a lucky block or air throw tech.
Yeah, Doom can do it if he’s already on the screen before Wesker gets started. A hit or a grab, each leading to 100% and the command grab recovering fast enough for an air grab leading to 100% (3 bar Wesker guarantees that)…yeah. My strategy for lvl 3 Wesker is currently, kill Wesker first/second. Not interested in the nonsense.
Now, what do when all three characters on the team are stupid in xf3? -_-

Excluding Phoenix, nothing says “badurrrr” like XF3(4) Wesker. :f:+ H (repeat) in XF is pretty much the most obnoxious thing online and will get you a good amount of wins regardless of your skill level or whoever you’re playing against.
Lost your first two characters in the first 20 seconds and you’ve barely scratched the opposition? Not so good at the game? Pop XF with Wesker in 3rd and mash the above to a near guaranteed victory. Put on those shades at the end to truly show your dominance and your skillful comeback win. 
Phoenix and Akuma are no doubt the best anchors in general. For me it’s Dante. Jam Session assist is the back-bone of my team. Using that either extends combos for both my Wolverine and Frank, and creates X-up opportunities for the next character coming in. As a stand alone character he an create X-up opportunities for himself. Though I do find it difficult to land the first hit, especially since Hammer isn’t what it used to be.
Ease of use shouldn’t be a factor in who is the best anchor (like tiers, no?)

Arthur in XF3 is still a scary chip damage beast and now adding to that: mixups with j.S. Is Gold Armor worth it in XF3 even though you can get owned once it breaks? I know some people argue that it’s not all that great.
I think he’s a huge sleeper in terms of powerful anchors now since he has a decent rushdown game.
Strider is the best hands down
Air L then double-jump Air H crossup while opponent is blocking Ouroboros XF3 = Delicious sauce.

But in all seriousness, I don’t think a lot of people realize how good of a character Nemesis is. I’ve come out of a lot of matches only having to use him. Just to his LMHS into MMHS, follow with Mutant Rampage or whatever, X-Factor and then repeat the Hyper combo. It’s an instant kill. And pretty much all of his attacks do a shit-ton of damage, and most of them are armored.
Dark Phoenix is definitely the best anchor. If she gets a kill on your character, she gets a 50/50 death mixup on the incoming character.

Yeah, but Air X-Factor makes it easier to block. Plus, her teleports still leave her vulnerable to a quick throw xx Hyper.
Strider = FEAR!
You don’t even have to use Ouroborous right away. Just the knowledge that Hiryu’s coming in with meter & XF3 changes your foe’s strategy in an instant. Plus, I think he’s the unofficial king of mix-ups. His double jump, wall cling & teleports with XF are a nightmare and make him virtually unblockable. Plus he has a relaunch move, a decent zoning game and Ragnarok (which I think has invincibility, but I’m not sure.)
I’ve even beaten out a couple of Wesker anchors using the ninja. He is fear.
