i think viper and ryu’s new costumes are the worst so far. viper’s doesn’t look that different from her first two costumes, and that thing on ryu’s head is a piece of shit.
everyone else’s is either ok or great. cammy is just so fucking crazy i can’t even say anything about it.
for some reason it really bugs me when people pick ryu’s black color. if you wanna be a bad ass, evil, rush down shoto, go pick akuma. there’s no evil ryu in this game.
do ya’ll think there will be more new chars than yun/yang?
i can’t wait for mortal kombat. i predict one of the two outcomes:
- it’ll be a decently made fighting game, and i’ll be able to enjoy playing a game other than ssf4
or
- ppl will find broken shit within a month and it’ll be a hilarious embarrassment for midway, or ‘netherrealm studios’ as they are called now, who are basically riding the sf4 wave but not ever admitting it in the annoyingly repetitious interviews they keep having.

I love that this thread is still called the Bearcade thread. Hasn’t an entire generation of Cal students entered school and graduated four years later since the Bearcade was killed?
This Rival Schools thing is happening down south in November, basically teams from each school competing against each other. Can anyone make it down to play? I’m here and I know Eric Choi moved down here, so we’ll need a few more. We have to have at least one current student, but like, do any current students actually play well at Berkeley nowadays?
