Beginner to intermediate question about delayed crouch tech on opponent wakeup

So I checked out this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1VeqwFEmsg and its some simple (at least the beginning) but very cool tech about how to do to a late crouch tech on an opponent’s wakeup so that I would block a reversal but also tech a standing throw should my opponent go for the throw. Momochi (spelling ha) says this is a great way to pressure an opponent but I’m not having much luck with that part of it. Obviously if there is a blocked reversal, I get good damage. But if my opponent crouch techs, we often trade or I get counter hit as his crouching lk would come out before mine. Long story short, how do I use this to apply pressure? Is this something I want to mix in to my knockdown game or is it something I should be using a lot? Thanks

edit: I linked the wrong video. I hope this can help others

The idea of using these wakeup options is to condition your opponent to react to your pressure in predictable ways. Delayed crouch-tech is a safe option that is good to use before you have a read on your opponent, as it results in at least a relatively neutral situation for you. Knowing how your opponent reacts on wakeup is extremely useful, and this tech is intended to find that out, not necessarily pressure offensively. After you get a read on your opponent, you can switch up your pressure to counter his/her wakeup.

In the event of trading crouch techs, you can go for meaties or just DP him on his wakeup if you’re feeling ballsy.

tl;dr: the delayed crouch-tech is a safe option to get a read on your opponent. It’s not that great of pressure unless he/she is DP happy.
