what are some beginner good A groove characters that i should start off with?
and any tips and strategies would help
beginner team: Ken - he builds meter pretty quick and a CC that does 7000 atleast. good character to start out with.
characters with easy cc’s for beginners:
ken (:r:+:hk: x N, super)
iori (:r:+:mp: x N, super)
mai (:hk: x 9, :d: + :mk: x N, super)
haomaru (:hp: x N, super)
sagat (dp near corner, activate, :hp: dp x N, super)
blanka (electricity near corner, activate, :u:+:hp: x N, kick super)
alot of other characters have pretty easy cc’s [that are damaging], like rolento, vega
Benimaru: hold forward + Hard kick x n, super
Nakoruru: Hold downforward + hard punch x n, super
actually nak is hardpunch x n, sweep, st.:hk: xx super. I’m pretty sure that the bird won’t connect unless the opponent is kicked up.

uh… for the blanka custom, it’s alot easier if you do standing fierce, cancel w/ low short, THEN jumping fierces. If you just do straight up jumping fierce its hard to find the timing for max hit fierces… or even to keep them in the air. Don’t use Sagat in A groove, Rolento, Ken, Blanka or Vega, Ken Blanka would be better. Vega’s is activate low forward, low fierce, low fierce, sweep, standing jab, super jump (fierce strong jab) to corner, standing roundhouse then super.

I guess first you need to get use to the system, so i’d go with Ken/Benimaru/Sagat(r2).
Your basic cc with Ken is f.rh x N, in corner sweep xxshinryuken.
With Benimaru it’s s.fierce x corner, sweep xx densei spark.
With Sagat, in the corner, it’s (c.mk c.fp c.fp c.hk) fierce until meter is about out, then tiger cannon. or even better, in the corner, fierce tiger uppercut until meter is almost out, tiger genocide. that’s how i started and i’m right now using Chunners/Rolento/Ken and i’m just getting the feel, so good luck.
Id suggest not to use benimaru… becuz then ud have to get better with him… and his hp is usually duckable in a certain distance.
and u have to be more careful when ur airborn.
its better to start off with simple characters first. with efficient anti airs counters and cross ups.
