Real salty right now. Doctor Strange just counter hypered my meteor smash. Since when did meteor smash count as a projectile?

The weird thing is, no matter how many times I try to replicate it training mode it just won’t happen. Online =(
edit: I just got it to happen. It only works if the counter is activated just before skrull hits the ground. So I guess it makes since that the little splash from the impact is a projectile.

How does Super Skrulls OG match up as an assist? I’ve heard it compared to being a mini-tatsu but i’m not sure how reliable that is. I believe it has armor on it, basically looking to replace my Akuma anchor because I can’t stand his stubby limbs, but I do need a lockdown assist that can blow through some things. Most people usually go to Tenderizer for the lockdown, but I have no idea of what characters could benefit from it that go alongside Spencer

It’s not as good as it was before due to it getting the soft knockdown removed, but still has its properties. It does come in handy though since it can be used as a GTFO me assist. Tenderizer is better for lockdown since they can’t pushblock him, but scales combos. I do seem to get saved by orbital grudge a lot though so it all depends on your preference.

i played a pretty lengthy set against a morrigan/vergil/doom player. so he had 2 strats: laming out with morrigan, or spamming vergil’s jumping dH or S. OG worked pretty nicely against vergil’s air attacks, but strangely enough, when i threw out some elastic punches, it didn’t hit him out of his jumping S. does Vergil have no hurtbox when he does that move?

also, what’s the best thing to do against missiles? i mean, usually for assist punishes, i go for meteor smash but hidden missiles stuffs it. is rolling hook the only option?

If the opponent is spamming missiles (which ppl usually do) and Skrull is close enough when hes called, i like to just do inferno. if youre low enough to the ground its hard to get punished. all you need to do is catch him once and doom will lose 2/3 of his health and thatll keep your opponent from calling him too much. if you happen to catch both of them with the inferno, just xfactor and finish them both off. There isnt much else you can do except maybe rolling hook like you said.

i use skrull on point or anchor but im still looking for a team with him though. other characters i play are deadpool,dog,frank,sentinel(never anchor 2nd slot only),racoon,akuma,and spencer.i know all the other characters in pretty good way considering im a lab rat in marvel but yea i need a main team now im kinda stuck in a delmema because i want good assists in a strong team with skrull. i may do deadpool frank skrull though im gonna try that team soon.
but yea positioning/assists for skrull is just based on what ur other chars benefit from the most. orbital gruides is more universal imo though

if you want a skrull frank team you could try the following:

skrull/frank/deadpool
deadpool/frank/skrull
skrull/frank/ammy
ammy/frank/skrull
RR/frank/skrull
skrull/frank/RR

all these teams allow for a lvl 4 frank off one combo and two bars. Let me know if you’d like more details and I can try to write it up.

for non frank teams I think spencer/sent/skrull or skrull/sent/akuma would be deadly.

1up Miles, Pain’s long-lost twin brother, at armshouse owning with skrull. I like the air elastic grab reset he gets after a meteor smash. I’m definitely going to add that to my arsenal. Well enjoy the match, i didnt watch the rest there may be more skrull later on.

Anyway i like the variety of characters that you see from armshouse players. good stuff.

By the way Skrull/Sent/Akuma is my team, and it is a lot of fun. Skrull with two gdlk assists backing him up is a real pain in the ass. and sent/akuma is also a nice combination, as we’ve seen with knives. I also love akuma with drones backing him up. thats a lot of fun.

Not sure about the Vergil jS, but the elastic punches have a really small hitbox. As far as missles go, what you can also do it this:

Continue the fight until you have two meters. I normally have Dorm 2nd, so when I hear him call out the assist, I do a m meteor slam xx skrull torch. If I hit doom before any missles got out or if I hit doom mid screen, then I let it go until the last hit, but if he got some missles out and we’re in the corner, I dhc to sphere flame and let doom bounce. Then I drop flame carpet and call out tenderizer, then I tack on a column, which makes slick think twice about calling out Doom again. :slight_smile:

you need to predict callings of doom assist and smack him with a rolling hook. if theres too much soul fist on screen, move around alot w/o getting hit so the morrigan player has to change their method of fireball tossing.

I thought of some Skrull tech last night.
When chars are entering the screen after losing a teammate, ive been calling Striders Vajra assist and doing an Elastic Arm .
Im hoping to force the opp to block the vajra and eat the command throw for a free combo, im also hoping if they press anything on the way in the Vajra will cause a hard knockdown, leading to a combo.
And from that you’ll get all your normal post inferno, throw resets.

You really have to react well because if they pushblock the Vajra, they get stuck in the air, avoiding the ground grab.

right on that definetly did not occur to me… I think I may just adopt that ambigous cross under with sC I saw you do, in the vids.
Been using skrull since vanilla but I never tried that, haha

So what do u guys think of standing H?It is my go-to hit confirm.

I run Skrull/Sent/Akuma/. Whenever i see drones hit i like to dash up and hit em with s.H. Then I just launch, bbcs, stonesmite, launch, launch, meteor smash, inferno. Its also good when they jump to block the drones. I can dash up under them while theyre in blockstun and press s.H and itll cross up sometimes just like it does on incoming characters.

I also like to use it with tatsu. If tatsu hits and theyre close enough to me when they get hit I can dash up and hit em with a s.H. and do the same combo.

It’s also leaves you +2 on block which is nice. I dont really use it as a kara grab, but it moves you forward a little bit, which you can use with his command grabs for a little extra range.

Anyway, its a really good norma imo. I know a lot of ppl like to use their ground bounce to combo, but once you learn to use stone smite in your combos, s.H becomes a really good normal to throw out here and there and hit confirm with the ground bounce.

So do you guys ever use s.H for anything?
