When you Stone Smite online, you gotta hold H before you land since your inputs are delayed.
Aww got it, I definitely get too visual with my cues sometimes waiting for Skrull to hit the ground
Also, recording some new tech soon. OPTION SELECTS, SON
This Tiger Knee shit is pissing me off. Firstly, how can I confirm that I TK’d properly, so I’m trying in the corner Charge Sweep >> TK Inferno which I’m pretty sure I’m doing right, but I can’t get the second Inferno to connect after that. Don’t know why I can’t get this What the hell am I doing wrong?
Umm I don’t think 2 infernos can link. It’s usually inferno>Torch. Inferno has too much start-up.
Aeroblue does it here but I can’t even get Torch to link so I’m fucking up some how.
The timing for Inferno > Inferno feels a lot stricter to me in Ultimate. Maybe it’s because the opponent recovers faster, there’s more recovery, or maybe more startup. Inferno > Skrull Torch seems more reliable and generally nets you 900k+ damage.
I’m not sure what the frame data on an aerial Inferno is, and it must be different that the grounded version, seeing as how the former has better recovery. Wish the guide had said frame data…
If Skrull yells out “Inferno”, you’re doing the grounded version. If you’re doing it correctly, he’ll laugh instead. Hope that helps!
Off topic, but if you guys will look at the SRK Showmatches on the front page, you will see my ugly mugshot at #4.
This Saturday, I will bring the skrull out once again.
This is very helpful, so for the second inferno, or the torch, do I TK that too? Do I do it immediately after or is there a delay?
I always normally do the torch. I never TK’d it again, but I’m sure it would make it harder on you. There’s a tiny delay but you’ll get the timing after a few tries.
Thanks for being so helpful Nasty and Aer0blue.
Yeah, I figure, I guess I’ll keep trying, seems really tight. Last thing though, so to practice the timing between the TK Inferno and the Torch, can I just do Charge Sweep >> TK Inferno >> Torch over and over to practice or does the Torch have to be OTG for this to work, in other words, do I have to do it after a magic series combo in the air ending in :s:
I swear this is bugging the hell out of me, this feels tighter then the timing for Task’s Vanilla OTG self re-launch, which although eventually became my BnB felt pretty fucking tight. Either the announcer says “fantastic” or “amazing” (whatever the number of hits it is) and the super then comes out. Or I try inputting the super too early I DHC, or what’s happening the most is I swear I’m inputing the super but nothing is coming out.
Edit: Just realized this is going to be a lot harder once I factor in mashing.
You can watch either my video or Aer0blue’s and see when we pressed the button for the torch. or TK Inferno.
There’s one way to help out with this: After doing the sweep, wait until the enemy’s body is starting to fall from its juggle then activate inferno. It should pick them up closer to the ground and therefore gives you more time to activate the torch/inferno.
Also, I managed to get 4 Inferno’s in a row while xfc’ing after the 2nd inferno to cause hard knockdown.
Yeah, I’d practice it like that. I won’t lie, the timing is very tricky at first.
The fact that an xfactored Inferno causes a hard knockdown is a bit ridiculous…>_> Thanks, Capcom!
Also, wowww, Orbital Grudge is MUCH useful now…dayum.
We definatly have some new technology to work with which means we should be creating some new BnBs, and I will keep practicing it. I got the TKing down, but the timing is insanely strict, it seems tighter than the Task OTG timing, I’ve tried Inferno to Torch maybe 100 times or so, only got it to work once.
I believe someone mentioned before that air dashing will prevent you from blocking until you hit the ground. Forget where.
IT IS worth mentioning that after you air dash and hit L, you can block again. At least you can attempt to block if you want to land empty if that is the case.
I said that in the Notable Skrull thread. That’s actually pretty helpful considering I was trying to stop airdashing entirely now.
did stone smite always ignore advancing guard?
Finally got my copy of umvc3, trying to find dat new skrull tech. Seems you can still do … j.mmhs>call drones>meteor l_h>meteor m>inferno still works
I did not know xfactored inferno causes hard knockdown. Does it have to be at a specific xfactor level e.g., only works with level 3? Or is it with all levels?
Also, since I’m only now bringing my skrull game up a knotch do I have any really quick overhead options with skrull? I know his jumping S was (is?) a common one to use for overhead but it always seems so slow and Meteor smash hits over head too but that’s a different kettle of fish
